I do not like or approve when traditionalists single it a few irreverent NO Masses to indicate the “bad fruits” of Vatican II and likewise I do not Iike or approve of using the same tactics against the traditionalist. I think this video could have been more helpful for people going down the path of traditionalism if the tone had been more sober; and more of a “be careful” to people who may be hearing messages like this and not having the theological foundation to understand why it is so dangerous. This message hits very close to home for me as two of my siblings found SSPX during COVID and it has caused division in our family. I pray for all people who fall into traditionalism because of their honest desire to be more constant and true in their faith. I pray for humility in understanding these complex issues (issues which are compounded by the reach of technology) and I pray for the unification of the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic church.

Without defending the evil of slavery, I think the point being made is that everyone always focuses on how evil slavery is without focusing on the evils of the poor in the factories of the north. Everyone makes heroes out of the people who "freed" slaves only to have people working in the factories almost treated worse than slaves in terms of labor conditions and wages in the northern cities. My husband and I accidentally attended an SSPX mass. We were traveling, and the chapel had almost the same name as a Catholic church around the corner. I should've known because something felt off the moment we walked in. The ushers looked more like guards, and they almost didn't let us in because my husband didn't wear a suit jacket in the middle of summer. We've been to diocesan Latin Mass and FSSP before, but when the priest used the homily to make jabs at the Catholic church, we knew it was SSPX. I don't remember specifics, but we should've walked out. The aesthetic of reverence was there, but there was an attitude of irreverence toward the Church. We both left feeling empty and disgusted.

I go to a wonderful Novus Ordo Mass every single Sunday including this past one where we were dealing with that storm Debby. My Priest is truly Holy and connects the Readings, Psalms and The Gospel into such a wonderful and Blessed Homily where I hang on every word. And at my Mass we actually pray for Pope Francis. 🙏♥️🕊✝️⛪
