Very cool!! Looks very similar to the XR150 motor. I’m turning my XR150 into a 300cc. I already did a 222cc big bore with a 36/31 head (probably a little big) but now am going to be using a 78mm piston and a 39/34 head.

That’s a Riv nut (rivet) not a Pem nut… pem nuts are knurled and press into a specific diameter hole.

I used to race an XR in mini road racing. Our rules said you could upgrade on older models to be more like the newer ones. So I took a 19 inch pit bike wheel (had to be steel rim), a set of Honda MB50 forks (had disk tabs but functionality like the XR), a gsxr 600 rear rotor, and a 4 piston pit bike rear caliper and made a disk front setup for an XR100. Worked great.

Looking great guys. Rottweiller have an upgraded filter now, the older ones can let dust through and have damaged some engines, might be worth checking which one you have. Adv rider has some good info on this if you want to investigate further. Looking forward to the finished build.
