Thanks! Yes, I've listed plenty of base star/hof cards and base rookies. When in doubt, I always just list at .99 and see what happens. I'm averaging around 70-100 card listings per day and it takes around an hour. Are you considering getting a card scanner?

@@eli_sells_stuff my motto has always been stars and hof can be listed. For football and basketball I feel like the dropoff is more drastic from HOF to star to semistar than it is in baseball. Sometimes I'll throw in cards like that as freebies on some of the slab sales. I keep a stack of around 100 of each sport and stuff the bubble mailers with them on each order over $20.

@JayNicks oh that's a good idea, I may have to try that. I guess where I'm having trouble is trying to differentiate star and semi star. I wouldn't put Brandon Ingram as a but some people I know would? Do you have a certain set of rules you personally go by to determine star from semi star? Btw I messaged you on instagram!

I have an eBay store as well I am struggling on how to do the shipping where they can just pay the .50 more per card like you are talking about so they can buy more how are you doing that? I have CDP and a scanner as well.

Yes, I can help you with that. Under "Business Policies" in your settings page, you should be able to create a "Shipping Policy". This is where you can for example name it "Everything under $20" and charge $1.00 or $1.50 for shipping Ebay Standard Envelope, but there's a check box you select for "Every Additional" and you can add whatever amount you want in there. I can usually get away with shipping 6 cards in ESE at 3 oz weight with good protection. So when they reach 7 cards, the buyer will pay $4.00 and I can bump them to Ground Advantage and I might have to come out of pocket a bit.

@@CaptainHarlock-w6l there’s a button on the listing in card dealer pro that will open a browser tab showing eBay sold listings of the card. I usually just average the three most recent sales and use that price point.

You determine price as you are listing each card within card dealer pro there is an excellent tool to assist with comping all your cards as you list them takes 20 seconds per card

After using for six months now over 25k cards scanned I would only advise penny sleeves if you use toploaders there will end up being scratches on both lenses in your 8170. I love the software however on avg it's only accurate 65 to 70 percent 9f the time. Good luck and happy scanning😊

How long does it take you to determine price and then batch them up before scanning the cards?

It helps to ensure each batch is either low, mid, or high end. This will ensure you can set up your minimum price point for a BIN listing. It also helps to separate your batches by card condition. If I scan 100-150 low end cards $.99 and $4.99, then I can have a batch ready in about 20-30 minutes. If you scan memorabilia or autographed cards, the AI system doesn't work as well and it can take 2-3x as long. You'll also want all of your ebay settings and presets in CDP to be set up appropriately to do most of the work for you. My presets take care of the title, description, shipping rate, payment policy, refund policy, and link to my shop category.

Nice video, I just started my subscription about 4 hours ago and listed as many BIN's as I did all of last week. Thanks for posting the parallel search, I'm still learning the nuances. I would recommend learning how to do a custom SKU as you scale. Monterey Sports Card posted a video about the details to adjust that. Thanks!

@@Jacob_Spang agreed. You need a large inventory or run 50+ auctions weekly to justify the price. $700 for the scanner, then another $60 for 5,000 scans per month on Card Dealer Pro.

Just submitted a lot of Jordans to PSA, now I'm worried. I know value is relative and I would not be sending damaged cards. I have some of the cards you submitted, and now I know I will never gem. Definitely breaks my resolve and trust.

Its frustrating, sorry! They screwed me over with a 200 card order here recently. They must have some new graders that are being way too stingy. I went from a 131 card order with 80% gem rate to a 200 card order with 30%. And I spent 2-3x as long pre-grading the 200 card order. I was pretty pissed.

PSA is a criminal organization. They say that grading is done based on certain standards but behind the scenes there is a different set of standards. That isn’t an inconvenience or a game, it is FRAUD

for 90’s cards, it seems that they may be looking at how crispy the white color of the card is. That white may have turned yellowish….

BROTHER! I sent them an email with picture proof that my card wasn’t in the condition it was in when I received the grade The only reason I sent it in was because I thought it was gna get a PSA 10.l It came back with a PSA 8 I 100% believe it was carelessly handled by PSA Was too noticeable and big of a hit

My friend psa has giving me several make up grades. It wouldn't be that bad if they put in their grading scale we grade curtain cards differently than others.

unregulated market they can do whatever they want grades dont care probably back door your cards or your not a insider. I got fk on a order 80 cards i sent in about a year ago never again will i send in more then 20 cards at a time. 1 fk up grader can fk you over

It's been pretty decent up until this last sub. When I first started, I was subbing like 20 cards at a time but mostly 2010 and newer. It wasn't until my last 3-4 subs that I was mixing in 80's and 90's cards. I now have 15 vintage cards at PSA that I'm super nervous about. The cleanest Rickey Henderson and Ozzie Smith rookies I've ever seen raw.

any cards from 90's and up should never get a PSA 6 or lower period look at those vintage grades you know when its a psa 5 corners damage way off center etc.

insiders and friends only ones who gets psa 10's on the top players like jordan kobe etc. they doing over a million cards a month they grade them so fast they dont give a shiiit about cards and they charge you and nothing you can do

They dont mishandle the cards bro and I wouldn't put it pass graders to steal our cards that we submit especially cards that will grade out higher and replace them with cards that they have that are not as clean or damaged. From an experience I had a submission I sent in was pregraded by myself on a spreadsheet and some Kobe Z force rookies I sent were supposedly sent back and ungraded as min size for not meeting the size requirement and were not graded. But those cards they sent me did not match what I pregraded them as. So perhaps I missed the card size...maybe. But there was damaged corners on the back of one and the other had edges with wear. Its a racket with no quality control and I suspect graders back dooring cards!

Backdooring cards is always a possibility unless you're subbing serial numbered cards. So that would apply to just about anything pre 2000. My main thought was if they have to scan cards and add the images to the app, wouldn't it make sense to scan them using a card scanner that does 500+ per hour? What if one of the scanners was just in bad shape and was somehow damaging the cards?

Psa had to mess them cards up dang. I noticed some people that submitted stuff around the time of the sale for 80s more for $15. I just missed that sale like a day or two when i sent mines in but even my submission sucked really bad and alot others i noticed. I usually get good subs to just not this last one and i noticed some of my cards before sent in had to have got damaged by psa. If they do that they shoukdnt lower grade of there mistakes. Gives us a good grade for that man. They controlling

PSA not gonna be what they were the last years if they don't change anything. I find other grading companies much better. PSA just got too big and this what happens if one company has more or less the monopole and people in charge get too greedy and think they can do what the want.

I feel psa knows cards when graded demand a premium. Therefore, undergrade purposely. At least I can say I have never used PSA . Great cards you have. Seems like they spun a wheel to choose a cards grade for your sub.

Man people need to open there eyes with psa that company sucks. Beckett atleast breaks down and shows you why it graded what it did. Honeslty man grading cards for resale is one if the biggest scams ever.... i miss the days when you cracked open a card got the case hit and thats that its value was at its highest fresh from a pack and any card that you protected was mint value 😢

What tools do you use to determine centering and prep cards for grading?

I mainly use a centering tool, magnifying glass with a bright LED light, microfiber towel, and I lightly damp alcohol towel for anything chrome to rub away debris that's missed by the microfiber towel.
