Watching large KZbin reviewers NOT RECCOMEND this game is sad. Especially when making false statements about the development of the game. Or even talk about the game mechanics completely incorrectly. Stalker 2 is my 2024 game of the year. And the best game I have played probably since Skyrim.

The documentary was a complete and utter wake up call to the games industry. I watched your first video on the game and even supported it! And once I saw this video in my feed again I watched thanks for this. It is a message that needs to be heard. People are always so damn entitled nowadays for stuff that it is sickening. STALKER 2 is legendary and so are the Ukrainian people. Much respect from the US.

While I don't want to remove any credit from GSC, let's not forget that Stalker did start as a book in 1971, then a film, and then only a game franchise. So the fact that the story is good, that's thanks to Arkady and Boris Strugatsky. And yes, I also consider the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game series to be one of the GREATEST of ALL TIME and I'm not even exaggerating. They deserve much-much more credit than they're getting. Not because OMG, they're ukranians and it's hip nowadays to support Ukraine, but because THEY DID A F'IN AMAZING JOB!!! Let's not devaluate their feats. Give them credit for what they did and not their circumstances. Well done guys!! Much love!

Dunno why I got suggested this video, probably because I'm from Ukraine and enjoy Stalker 2, but wholeheartedly, thanks. I'm 100% agree with you, I also was afraid it will be some woke shit, like all our beloved franchises now, but no - it's great and old school just enough.

Totally agree! Never played the OG games, but I am having the best time playing this one. Side missions feel natural, there are distractions everywhere, I love heading off to do one thing, next thing I know I'm halfway on the other side of the map, over encumbered with an emission coming while being chased by a Chimera. And loving every minute lol. I too play several games at once (have been playing Cyberpunk/Mechwarrior/Aliens Dark descent) but I literally haven't loaded anything else since starting Stalker 2. And yeah there are bugs but the game and world are so good I can overlook that even without the hardships that went into making it - already a massive patch has come out, so it's clear they intend to fix what is broken <3

Trips me out that people talk about 1999 like it's ancient history. Gay people weren't invented recently, they been around for thousands of years. We didn't suddenly become enlightened recently- most people were accepting of gay people in the 90s and some weren't, just like now. Only difference is legislation has changed a bit.

And this folks, who are always complaining how shitty games are, happens, when you just play and enjoy the game. Not looking for problems to rant about I did it the same way and I love it.

GSC just set the gold standard-no other company can get away with delivering a broken game or failing to deliver on their promises anymore and not patching their games. These absolute legends powered through nearly losing their funding and company, reclaiming it, and then enduring a literal war while making the game, only to still come out with an amazing game. And they didn’t stop there-they straight-up said, “Yeah, we know there are bugs, but we’re already on it.” Respect.

Whenever I see one of these "done right" type of videos, it seems the argument always boils down to something along the lines of the character is good because - you can't tell he's gay - The homosexuality is kind of "made fun of" or shown in a negative light as some kind of character flaw or disorder. Like how he slaps his partner and calls him a offensive name. He's not proud of who he is. If those are your arguments... I mean I feel like you are just intolerant. But I mean that's Willem Dafoe right there... Anything he plays is going to be done well.

*Boondock Saints 2 was a lesser film because they didn't have Dafoe's energy to create memorable scenes, he stole the entire film, they did try to make a carbon copy with Julie Benz playing his "protégé" & it failed miserably.*

Greetings, stalker enjoyer. I am not a game developer, but I am very pleased to hear that there are people who liked this game as much as I did. I remember the day when I first touched this game in the summer of 2007 as if it were yesterday. I can say that I felt young and strong again, but also in a new way, when I played the second part. I want to say thank you for mentioning where the developers are from and that our country is suffering from war and ruzzian aggression. When we win this war, we are waiting for you in our country. We have developed tourism in Chornobol. I am also sure that when we have peace on our land, we will have STALKERCON again. Thank you again and take care of yourself.

I'm actually still preferring the first one and looking forward for the 2nd to be polished out, will play it out then not to ruin the impression further. AI spawns and behavior is really bad currently, and performance is not great either. This for sure can be fixed though, so it is worth the wait.

Such a wholesome video. I it's so rare to see a game that just delivers good old fun without some political massaging. You should try more European games many of them are great fun without BS.

Hello from Ukraine. I am not a fan of the old three parts, because I did not play them when they were relevant, and now they already felt old for me to play, so I went through only the first part, and the second and third, I watched videos about them on KZbin. But this new part, I was waiting with impatience, followed all the news. And I can say that these guys and girls from GSC did an incredible job. Although before the first patch the game crashed very often, but it did not stop me. I do not know how they did it, but I do not feel the time passing when I play STALKER 2, I have gone through about half, and I have already played 60 hours. This game has interesting dialogues that are always interesting to listen to, cool directed cutscenes. Even side quests that I most often do not complete in other games, in STALKER 2 I somehow complete them and enjoy them. Even when I collect 139kg of cargo that I want to sell (in the game, the maximum backpack can be expanded to 140kg), and then walk slowly for 5 minutes to the merchant, I still get pleasure. It's a pity that due to the war, several moves, cyberattacks from the Russians on their servers, and problems with the office, whether it was on fire or flooded, I don't remember exactly. They lost a lot of time on this, instead of working on the game. I think, if not for all these problems, we could expect a very powerful release with a rating of 9/10.

Loved that movie and the writing. And yeah, there is a huge difference between being gay and “just” being gay. Todays writing treat gay people like they all just rolled off the pride parade.

I swear half of the voice acting in this game is terrible but the other half is straight gold.

Stalker 2 is really a breath of fresh air... It would have been really easy to pack some wacky political messages into it or charge for loot boxes but GSC managed to avoid these common pitfalls... The Ukraine people should feel proud of this accomplishment... Truly an amazing experience

Dude did you see the movie and yet not really watch or absorb it? You got so much wrong from the sequence of events, names and the fact that it was plain as day Defoe's character was gay. And no their prayer is not from the Bible it's a family prayer exclusive to their family hence the climax finding out the duke is their father

Ive said it before its hilarious that all these woke company with twice the budget made a bunch of trash games this year and these guys make a amazing game in the middle of warzone with half the budget.
