I have a question. I have been exploring African spirituality for about 4 years now and have been working on deconstructing my christian upbringing. Part of it has been learning about African deities and applying those teachings to my life. However whenever I reach out to my ancestors, I’ve always felt a block or lack of communication rather and I’ve been trying to figure out why. Then it hit me, my ancestors were devout Christians and Catholics. Could this be a reason why im facing resistance?
