I am working on a project like that . How can I make a contact with you
@ray-a7 ай бұрын
So I'm trying to put this thing together with a friend. Not all components are exactly as yours, but we'll manage. Only thing I can't figure out: your prototype appears to use a ESP32 board, while your BOM on Github also lists a Pi. Where is that being used, apart from the renders shown on Printables? Was it designed for a Pi at first, then you switched to the LiliGO? Other than that: this thing is awesome, I hope we'll manage to get this running as good as yours. Thanks for all the time you've put in this so far and share it.
@M.Tops337 ай бұрын
Yes it was designed for a PI with a PiCam. But it was quicker for me to use a ESP32 to test the mechanical parts. The wiring diagram is for a LiliGO but you can use any ESP32-S3 you want. Basically you need : - 3 PWM Outputs 2 for the ESCs and 1 for the "pusher" servo - TX Output that goes to the TTLinker - RX Input that comes from the TTLinker - 1 Digital input for the speed measure (optional) - 1 Analog input for the battery level (optional) I use a level-shifter for all PWM signals, TX and RX. And I use 3 DC/DC Step-down module to supply 5v (ESP32), 6V PWM servo, 8V Serial servos

Did u manage to get it going man??
@ray-a3 ай бұрын
@@cccc-fh7su Yes, and it's pretty awesome. Made some adjustments in the model since not all the hardware was available anymore, and the replacements were a bit off dimension-wise. Also went with slightly faster 2306 motors. Reached 200 km/h quite easily at about 1/3rd of the maximum speed. Haven't tried higher RPM's since the whole thing will start to resonate and I'm afraid parts eventually will fly off :) Used a ESP32 and re-wrote the code. If it's ok with @M.tops33 I can create a remix on printables along with the repository. Really fun project to learn something about Fusion360 (never drawn anything before) and controlling servos with a ESP32.

@@ray-a That's awesome man. I'm trying to get into stuff like 3d modeling and Arduino and such and I saw this project would be a good start since I absolutely love nerf and having a turret would be so cool If @M.Tops33 gives you permission and you can dish out those printables, that would make my day :)
@ray-a3 ай бұрын
@@cccc-fh7su You can always start with his model. Like I said, I only adjusted some things because I had to replace some parts. And that's also where I learnt the most in 3d modeling, since I had 0 experience as well. I made the mistake to buy a full size LIPO battery that didn't fit in the turret body so I had to put it underneath it in a weird battery tray. Now it's more stable than the original, but the original does look better. Must've been my rookie drawing-skills as well :) If you're building this, be sure to adjust the holes of the motors to 16x16. I found out 16x19 isn't that common for these motors anymore. Other adjustments are minor, like a bigger case for the PCB and longer feet because of my battery tray.

If the film is not properly stabilized in RSGO, what is the point of making a comparison video of the Flow gyro with RSGO which is not there? Non sens
@M.Tops333 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the point and the comment. This video is only about this specific footage. Same gyro data same video... RSGO can't stabilize the footage no matter what I do, the video show the best I can get from RSGO on this footage. In Gyroflow I have the possibility to select precisely the synchronization point between the gyro data and the video and the final result is not perfect but better. RSGO is much easier to use but sometimes it's difficult to get the right synchronization point especially with video from my Gopro 6 naked. In this case I use Gyroflow.
@MateuszmatexonyG3 жыл бұрын
@@M.Tops33 You probably need to use a soft mount, then the RSGO will handle it without any problems and the effect will probably be better than the Flow gyro. As for the gyro Flow, I saw the way it was done and I don't know if I would like to have so much fun with it 🤦♂️ definitely a nice solution for cameras other than gopro, but too much fucking for me
@M.Tops333 жыл бұрын
@@MateuszmatexonyG I tried soft mount on my gopro naked but the result is not good. The camera is too light. With my Gopro Session 5 and soft mount the result is nice on RSGO.
@MateuszmatexonyG3 жыл бұрын
@@M.Tops33 Therefore, it is not the fault of the program itself, but the type of camera and mount used. RSGO is dedicated to original gopro cameras. The stabilization comparison will make sense when you compare the properly rendered RSGO with the Gyro Flow because your comparison video does not show the stabilization difference in the full range of their functions, because the RSGO here did not work at all

J’ai bien envie d’essayer mais je viens de me taper 1h de tuto pour la calibration et le tout le reste... et maintenant ça me rebute un peut 😅
@M.Tops333 жыл бұрын

@M.Tops333 жыл бұрын
Hi, Orbi FPV, the designer of the frame, is a friend of mine, it was more easy for me to get one. I wasn't necessarily looking for a foldable frame but for a dead cat 7" frame, now I'm very happy with this frame and the manner that this frame folds. I didn't know the transformer 7" before but after looking I find that the foldable mechanism is less convenient.

Any idea why the drone arms are angled back so that the center of lift is behind the center of gravity?
@M.Tops333 жыл бұрын
Hi front arms are angled so that the propellers are not in the HD camera view. The center of lift is effectively determined by the drone geometry, but the COG can be moved along the length of the drone by moving the battery, so I can adjust it to match as close as possible the center of lift.
