How come the industry doesn’t implement a e85/e85r set up?
@ziptieracing6 күн бұрын
You'd need a larger injector and potentially a bigger fuel pump. The cost vs benefit wouldn't be there. Combine that with the fact that most small engine guys don't like e85 because of all of the myths surrounding it, and not many people would run it if people did support it.
@ziptieracing6 күн бұрын
Additionally, e85 varies so much in alcohol content that it'd be a liability issue making a map for someone who may get 50% e one tank and 90% the next.

available, "Team Honda" (referring to Honda's factory racing teams) frequently uses GET ECUs, particularly in their motocross and supercross racing endeavors, where the GET ECU is considered a top choice for its tuning capabilities and performance advantages; with reports stating that Factory Honda has won multiple championships using GET ECUs across various classes

Get,aim and carrot ecu’s all have different features and strategies to achieve good running motorcycles. We have been working with the vortex software for over 10 years and our depth of knowledge in problem solving with the vortex brand and creating feelings people desire are the reason we choose vortex. There has not been one thing we don’t feel we can’t achieve with the vortex software. I would agree if you are the end user (customer) and you know what you are doing a cell phone connection would be useful however with the 10 map options we try our best to provide as much safe options as we can to the map file. The tuneability with a flat head screwdriver is a great feature to most of the customers. I think you can reach the same end result with all ecu brands if you understand the software and the engineer who designed its way of thinking. I would guess it would take me 1/4 of the time to tune a vortex because I’ve worked with it so much. On the flip side other tuners who use the other ecu brands might be able to tune get and others in 1/4 of the time it would take me. Hope this info sheds a little light. It’s nice to have options.
@MotoincАй бұрын
@twisteddevelopmentracing yes you can get same result.100% And I know you are 1 of the best in the industry. But for me the GET is way more tuning friendly and has a lot more I can do with it as a "normal" guy. I've had Vortex on 2 bikes and my current 21 yz450 has GET and I got TC without having TC originally on the bike. And price is not so much different. NOT trying to bash you personally it's more towards VORTEX because they must update their product IMO

So there’s a generic Vortex ECU and then there’s a “custom” Twisted Development Vortex ECU Right? I bought 2 Vortex ECUs from another vendor and I’m guessing they aren’t custom maps right? I wish I would have found you guys first. Can I still upgrade mine from Twisted?

Great Video! I’m currently using your Vortex on Crf450rl and you just did an oem remap for my 25 Crf250rx. The 450 has ran great for a year and a half, but now is getting a R/Rx head you ported for me, with a r/rx cam dropped in it. I’ve been testing and still need to do more on 250rx tune to get some good feedback to you. So far it’s been phenomenal. Im going to be contacting you guys for a Dyno tune for both bike’s in the near future. Really appreciate all the help, you guys are incredible! Thank you!

If a man has a suzuki, can he just send couplers into you guys for them to be mapped and plugged in?
@twisteddevelopmentracing5 ай бұрын
We have only developed vortex ecu’s for Suzuki’s. We don’t have any plans to tune the stock ecu on that brand. Sorry
@ziptieracing6 күн бұрын
The couplers are just jumpers. You can make them at home if you lose them. If you look at how they're pinned they just jump different pins to do what they're supposed to.

I bought one from you guys and my bike started and ran way better than stock. My friend just bought one from you guys and his bike starts cold like crap and doesn’t idle. Any suggestions for him? It’s a 2022 yz250f at sea level running t4
@twisteddevelopmentracing5 ай бұрын
The Yamaha engine coolant temp sensor has a track record for failing. The engine coolant temp sensor is what adds fuel for cold starting. If that circuit is not working properly the bike will be a pain to start cold and start normally when warm.

@@twisteddevelopmentracing he put his stock ecu back in though to test it and it started perfect cold then your ecu in again and won’t idle cold and rough starts

@@NickW90I had XPR map my 23 KX450 and it’s doing the same thing. I was contemplating sending it to TD however, after reading this, it appears to be a broader issue than just one tuner. I’m sending it back to XPR for them to tweak for resolve.

@williamskify4 ай бұрын
@@NickW90 understandably, so. My issue is only when it’s cold starting. Once it started it runs fine. You can shut the bike off. Start it back up while it’s still hot and it starts perfect. Once it cools down before the next Moto, it’s hard to start again.

any idea of how to change maps on vortec ecu?
@ShorrockPaul3 жыл бұрын
If independent tuners like twisted etc can make more power throughout the rev range and make the power smoother (nice graphs) Why cant the motorbike manufacturers who designed and built the bikes and have huge R&D budgets 1000 times more than these tuners create the same maps ??

Can the idle speed be adjusted with the vortex software? I had my vortex ecu programed to compliment my build but my engine has a high idle now. My tps is set in the recommended range. I have no vacuum leaks. The throttle response is crisp. It just has a high idle.

What a great video! Thanks Jamie! This video truly spoke to me. I've been riding on and off my entire life since I was 10. Raced a little in my early 20's then responsibilities of life quickly began with marriage and starting a family. Now I'm a vet rider with kids who also love to ride and want to try a little racing. What a great and rewarding time for a dad to be able to do that with his boys. I have an 07 CRF450R I bought off the showroom floor, first ever for me! And I will never sell. I was just able to purchase my second bike off the showroom floor and a huge deal for me, a 2021 CRF450RWE! I'm sending out my suspension to Factory Connection for revalve and spring weight rate changes. I will also be purchasing a Vortex X10 ECU from you guys. Very excited to say I will be getting back into again but this time with the help and encouragement of my boys and encouraging and helping them race also. What more could a dad ask for. Thank you so much for all your time, research and development to make riding more fun and safe for all riders! And thank you for specifically talking about and appreciating all of us vet riders. We do appreciate you!
