looker studio is by FAR distance the worse app to use for analytics... it just does not work. I guess that's why Google gives it for "free" (and then adds those limits to call Google Analytics API)

Hello Walker Ihave this issue with GA4, whenever I go to data stream I see this message that says Data collection isn't active for your website. If you installed tags more than 48 hours ago, make sure they are set up correctly. I tested the website domain and it appears okay, so Should I wait 48 hours? because with other websites I didn't have suck problem. I followed your video and the GTM and GA4 are connected and integrated though

Where your Column 1 header states Conversions, mine states Key Events. I only want to see Conversions in Column 1, but I'm not seeing a way to edit this. Any ideas? Or did Google retire Conversions because they think Key Events is more useful to us?

How are these calculated? Is it by user? And in what touchpoint did that specific user convert?

For the conversion tracking, in our case the data was hardcoded into the google tag (conversion value) and used without GTM. How would you recommend one would go about migrating to your approach instead?

Hi, thanks for the great video. I have a question though. Whenever I get my team to set up a conversion event on my website, it usually doesnt work. Twice I had to get the analytics code setup and conversions started to come in. My question is that is it necessary to get the analytics code setup alongwith google tag by the Tag Manager? I can't understand what am I missing.

Personally I didn't like the video. I guess it depends on what one expects. I wanted to understand how to use google analytics and hoped you would explain what dimensions, metrics, and segments are, and what different values of these parameters mean as well. Instead you mostly read from the screen ("and here you select a segment, and segment can be users, sessions, ...."), and I thought in my self "Yes, I know how to read". It doesn't add any value.

As of September 2023 Google retired the GA4 Configuration Tag. It's now called Google Tag. Icon is blue but the tag ID works the same.

My GTM is showing "invalid Input: You may have stale data. Refresh page". I am confused about where is the problem. Please help me to come out of this issue.

Hi Walker, thanks for this video. I am stuck in a dilemma, perhaps a basic guidance or suggestion from an expert as youmight help. My Tech Stack: NextJS 13.5 with Supabase. I have a link aggregation clone like linktree, since its a learning hobbyist project, where each user has its unique user profile and multiple links. Similar to linktree style. Everything works as is. The next stage of my project is Analytics: 1. I need to show the logged in user how many page visits his page has 2. how many times a link/button was clicked on his page. For this, i planned to do diy, but in case if there are heavy requests I fear my db wont be able to handle so I plan to use something like Google Analytics. Now, Im familiar with the basic integration for my project/web-app and to see how many visitors visited my project/web-app. What I want to undertand is to show my logged in users the data about ONLY their profile page without making them go through any hassle and just show them in my webapp dashboard, is it possible to do so? Each user can see their analytics through google analytics in my web app itself. How do i tackle this? Is it a viable method with GA or should I DIY? Thanks for your time.
