It’s a buffet. So obviously there’ll be many options but why OH WHY did that restaurant server piled everything into one plate? And not use 2 or even 3 plates to fit all those items???? 🤦🏼‍♂️

You are the one in the wrong to be honest. He states over and over the watch isn't waterproof. Misting in a watch occurs when you go from a hot environment to a cold one (air conditioning in your hotel room for instance). Think of it like sunglasses steaming up when you go outside. All you had to do was pull out the watches crown (winder) and put it on a window sill. You do not need to actually get the watch wet for this to happen. The strap is easy to fix and he did offer to do it for you. It would have been an idea for him to have shown you )you can do it without any tools) but I suspect the language barrier was an issue. Its a tenner. Chalk it up to experience and learn from it. These people have next to nothing. The principle fails on moral grounds.

The worst kind of tourist! You buy a cheap watch from a vendor outside in humid Taipei and take it into an air conditioned room, of course there will be condensation. The 200 refund is more than fair. You're picking fights to create content, the vast majority of vendors in Taiwan are fair to foreigners, im sure he would've offered the same to a local. I hope you don't return to Taiwan.

why would you buy a watch at a night market????????
@ivanteo1973
@ivanteo1973 Ай бұрын
first of all, don't go cheap skate. for a $10 watch, what are you expecting, seriously? its basically a disposable watch. that's the common sense they are talking about. and when they say you are rich, in local language they mean they are poor people compare to you. the local vendor like these don't make a lot of money, i say its less than $2 profit. you brought back the watch back broken with moisture. the watch was working when he sold you. You said you shower with the watch meaning you damage the watch. you are expecting a full refund for $10? like in the west don't work in small vendors like these. hope you can understand the culture.

You were a brave soul for dealing with this guy .Tough battle against condensation vs poor language barrier lol.😭😭. One thing I know, Chinese quality is poor, I am used to it. Lesson learned and move on. 2 against 1 no chance of winning this battle of the watches. Dan vs Watch 💓. I understand, it's not about the amount of money it's the moral behind it.

@@brucewayne2773Plus he will give back 200nt. I got ripped off after finding out another store for items I bought was cheaper but I just shrug and keep going. If it's 1000nt ± maybe. The time your wasting there is not worth it. A plane ride from wherever you're from isn't worth it.

The pork trotters in this market are famous, they're really tasty. Also, in this market is one of the best and most affordable Korean restaurants in Taipei. The owners are originally from Korea. It's located closer to the small park area. We actually ate there more than once which is saying something for Taipei. :) Oh, the bao you had is called Gua bao, a very traditional Taiwanese style bao. It has coriander/peanut powder/sugar. You can also ask for fattier meat or leaner meat. :)

Not a bad review; but comparing price with Thai baht price and what you would get in bkk is not fair. Marina location in the uk. Running a buisness in the UK is not comparable. Cooking authentic thai food in the UK for customers who are not all familiar with the completly different ingredients and quite extreame flavours, they have to find a middle ground. Fairly decent review though.

The area that you're in was the most popular/newest/expensive area back in the 70s and 80s. :) Still nice though. Lot of shopping and good food places around there. By the two Sogos and a short walk to Breeze also. My family had an apartment there back then. The Hong Kong restaurant you pointed out is good and pretty authentic. The noodle place you ate at is where my family would eat all the time when I was a baby. It's been there forever. That area is a little night market, the food there is pretty good. There's an old blind grandma in that area, across from the park who gives massages as her sole source of income, she was featured on a Taiwanese Tiktok pretty recently, support her if you can.
