It was mentioned in one of the comments: this episode should be watched multiple times. I couldn't agree more. Vincent narrates in such a way that this is well worth it. Glyn thank you for this wonderful episode. It seems like every week you get guests with even more compelling stories. Because after all, that's what it's all about. Captivating stories.

Thanks so much for such an informative and fun video! I learned quite a few things and can't wait to apply them in my future editing. You've inspired some creative thinking for me. In fact, I've saved the video for reference. Have a wonderful holiday season!

I’m sure you know this trick that I find is incredibly useful for phone and iPad editing. Matt K showed this a year or so ago. Make a a full person mask in Lightroom Desktop and select all the body parts. Save it as a Preset. I call mine “Body Parts.” The preset will then show up in Lightroom on the iPad and the phone, available for selecting eyes, iris, lips, teeth, hair, skin, clothes, etc. Love your tutorials. I recommend them to all my students.

Fantastic video Glyn. Included in Adobe mobile subscription, Photoshop Express for IPad has the ability to select individual parts of human body as a mask. Absolutely get it’s a Lightroom tutorial but you can open it directly in the express app same as you would have done on the desktop version.
@glyndewis3 күн бұрын
Thanks for watching. Yeah the Photoshop Express App is fun to use but is not for this workflow as you can't make adjustments like you can in Lightroom. Working on eyes is more for replacing them and adding effects as opposed to enhancing specifics like catchlights. There's no mistaking it though ... PS Express is a great app to use ans have fun with.
@marcinszarmach35823 күн бұрын
@ That’s a fair point, you’re right. Just have to rely on the app selection where with brush mask there is more control over the adjustment are.

Interesting but the lipstick looked far better in the before than the after in my opinion, it was too bright and orange. I don’t think they had such bright colours at the time period of the photo
@glyndewis3 күн бұрын
My opinion though was that 'I' like how it looked but this wasn't a video for photo critique but to show a workflow. If you didn't like the lipstick that way then in 'your' workflow you would change it.

Hi, I really want to work on photos every day, but I don’t have a computer at home. I can only use a computer during my motion graphics class. I’ve learned Photoshop and Illustrator there. My mom says I can buy my own PC once I get a job in this field. Is it okay to manage without a PC at home for now?

@glyndewis I like what you are doing with LR, that is my go to always. But was just saying, that everything here, can be done via Evoto IPad now. Results are probably better for certain elements.

This was very helpful. Don’t you have to have your images in Adobe cloud to edit on the iPad? That’s a non-starter for me when I come home with 4,000 RAW images twice a day from photographing birds for a couple hours in the morning and a couple hours in the evening. I wish I could have the files locally on the iPad (or on an external Thunderbolt drive). and work locally when traveling.
@glyndewis4 күн бұрын
No you don't have to have them on the cloud to edit them ... you can have them locally; it's been this way for a while now 👍🏻
