I was at this concert, The Forum Los Angeles in 1968. Went to see Deep Purple, loudest band I had ever heard. Loved it. The other band, I only remember Ginger Baker's The Toad. 50 years later realized I saw Cream on their Farewell Tour! Also remember what seemed like a maze of mirrors coming out of the girl's room. My mind was blown! Anyone else?

WoW.... thanks for posting this! Like thousands, if not millions of others, I bought CCR's very first album, because I had been hearing the long album version of "Suzie Q" on FM radio. These first songs and albums obviously are fantastic, but as everyone knows, the 1970 album "Cosmo's Factory" is the greatest studio-recorded album in rocknroll history....the holy grail 🎸

Is that not Rolling and Tumbling? Blind Owl was one of only a handful of white musicians who truly knew the Blues , I'd have love to see him pair up with that Texas Rattler Johnny Winters .

I can't help thinking about them looking out over a good crowd of club patrons, and having no idea that in two months they'll be looking out over hundreds of thousands of people digging them at Woodstock! When that one fan jumped up on stage and bummed a cigarette from Bob, that's my favorite cinematic Woodstock moment! That should've been in the original cut of the film, but I'm glad it made the director's cut, and has become an iconic moment of rock n roll history on it's own.

One nice thing here is Eric taking all of the lead vocals on songs like Anyday and Little Wing. It’s nice to hear Eric and Bobby trading vocals in small doses, but Bobby tended to overdo it (in terms of frequency, excessive shouting and overwrought singing).
