So you take the cod of its nest so it can't protect its babies? Maybe the season should close for breeding season to ensure future generations of cod. I live in Florida and they restrict many species with a vulnerable season. It sucks, but it does help the fish populations

@@wadebass5600 yea, been like that for years. The population is so healthy here, they bumped the catch up to 3 ling cod next year. You really know a lot man. Keep at it.

@PNWCOASTFISHING its good the population is healthy. I hope they don't over regulate you guys. Here, red snapper has been closed for a decade. The population is so abundant, they are often the only fish you can catch. We are allowed one red snapper per year recreationally. Nice fish, and video. I will sub and follow

We pour milk over our extra crab meat and use it for crab cakes in the future. It is good for a couple of months that way

The actuall facts picked apart are a bit 2 sided. When consistintly kept at or below 0°F the food will pose no health risks and is safe to eat, but quality of tast and sometime amount of nutriton go down over time.

wow, the freezer does its job and keep the food without getting it rotted. in italy we keep beef in the freezer even for months and of course it’s still good. it’s a freezer, it’s his job

Food quality degrades when frozen and the longer its frozen the worse it is for the food.

@@samueleleo249 I think some beef gets better from being frozen, even some fish. Apparently it hits this crab hard though. Just like mussels, I've never had a frozen mussel that wasn't bad.

Hell yeah good info for people whove been told never to put crab in the freezer, the taste is noticeably different but far far far from inedible, much better than fast food or anything fs

@@jcarry5214 good question. Idk. Honestly, I think it’s the fat content (which makes it good) that makes it go bad so quickly. I shouldn’t say bad, but it just doesn’t hold up as well like beef, or fish, in the freezer.

@@dr.johndoe1603 I think it has something to do with the fat content. But idk. I’m sure you can eat it later than a week but it’s surprising how even after 48 hrs, how different the taste is.
