Miss Sandra Dee was before my era. But when I saw Gidget the first time, I never missed a chance to watch it again, whenever it was shown on television. With the inventions, beginning with VHS tapes and now with DVRs, I can watch it when I feel like it. This is the first time I’ve seen these clips from “Sally Jesse” and hearing about her terrible young life, I’m so surprised that she lived as long as she did. Because of this, it makes me happy that these other celebrities made time to be there for her. I hope she realized that she was loved and cared for who she was.

My sister, who is 15 years older than me, and of that era was so in love with James Darren that she’s still in mourning over his death (at present time was 5 months ago).

Michelle really belts this one out! The lady can really sing! She reminds me of Cass on this song. So beautiful and deeply touching!

Dale, and the band were SO ahead of their time. She was Lady Gaga, before Lady Gaga was born ;D

Linda does such a beautiful job of this incredible Willie 💝song, His version is so good🎶 Patsy 💗was the first to make Crazy a big hit, then Linda 💓third I would include is k d Lang ❤️🩹❣️( from Canada) she grew up loving Patsy Cline & Roy Orbison and does wonderful covers of both Patsy & Roy. LeeAnn Rimes does an incredible tribute to Patsy !

I admire her courage in taking on this song, and doing it justice. I couldn't have imagined anyone but Patsy Cline singing it.

Virtually all the guys in her life were of Italian descent, Darin, Darren, Rydell, Saxon and Hollywood took all their ethnic names and threw them in the dumpster. So glad for the most part that practice has ended. In fact Dee was born under the name Zuck of Russian origin.

From the album “Stateless “, 1979 . I’m glad I got to see so many talented women like Debbie Harry, Chrissie Hynde and her all come out at once. True groundbreakers. An incredible time.

Shelley Fabares is the prettiest of that era!! I had never heard of Sandra Dee but did of Shelley Fabares through "Coach", one of my favorite shows ever! I'm from a different generation but love the old shows.

Smokin', buddy! The Mankey brothers, Jim on guitar and Earle as the producer, started out in Halfnelson/Sparks and have been behind a lot of great music ever since. And Johnette Napolitano, wow, what can I say?

She's disclosing really serious abuse and trauma, and then they keep surprising her with idiot guests. Sandra was abused and her mother was a disgrace...not to mention she was exposed to older men when just a teen.
