Interesting take writing the vocal to the drum hits makes sense though. Good tip on the bass notes midi drag and drop from the drums

Hi Atesh, I would like to ask if you're using any effect in front of the amp (may the build in) and what string gauge cause of the "one octave down thing" ;) And you're using the build in cabinets? Otherwise a very informativ video as always......big thanks
@AteshElectric2 ай бұрын
I cant recall everything but im using fortin cali by neural dsp and im sure there is a booster in front of the amp (quite possibly the grind). I didnt change any cab settings, i just tweaked the amp settings. String gauge is probably 9-64 or something like that. I didnt have the thickest bottom, that much i remember. Sometimes its not easy to find proper gauge strings in Turkey.

Amazing playing, amazing singing & an amazing arrangement !! I'm looking for exact this guitar tone so could you tell me if this is a multiscale 7 string or a regular? Which string gauge? And which tuning? It sounds so brutal ;) Cheers from Hamburg (just discovered you here on KZbin)
@AteshElectric3 ай бұрын
Hey, thanks, im glad you like it. I used this exact same guitar that i used in the video. Its a legator ninja 7 string. 27” scale length. Tuning is drop f#. I cant remember what gauge of strings i used but i think it should be like 09-64. Its not easy to find strings to my liking in turkey. Except for the ernie ball 8 string series. That gives me a .64 7th string, and a .74 so if i need something super low i ll use the 74. Cant remember which atm. And i used fortin cali by neural dsp

Well it exists in Turkish system as hüseyni as well. I dont really know about the history of hüseyni specifically but its possible i guess. Its also possible that its ottoman considering how much effort they put in music theory development. Id love to hear more history if you could share.

Which is the most versatile GGD kit and one neural DSP plugin according to you? I mean if you could only buy one of each. Thanks
@AteshElectric4 ай бұрын
I would say that ggd libraries with bigger kit selection are more versatile. Like invasion and modern and massive. But even with 2 kicks and 3 snares, p4 does it for me. I also have the okw architects and okw pop punk. Its a solid collection. As for ndsp, thats a bit personal. What genre, which tuning, how many strings etc. But they have free trials for all of them. So why dont you try and find what works best for you. I have the fortin cali and soldano and love them both.

i'm a sociologist and here is my theory: these microtones mostly makes music created plaintative. which i always hated as a turk. i always associated that with arabesque, ferdi tayfur like shyt. you know how he would use microtones with his vocals and that would sound like he is frigging begging and crying? at least when it comes to slow songs that's what happens. and west is always less emotional, they don't like crying shyt so i think that's why they get rid of micro tones. they respect themselves more. they are not frigging one legged, blind and poor farmer bastards from anatolia so they think crying is uncool.

Hello and thank you for your little tutorial series! I have a question about stereo/mono mixing. I see your amps are set to mono. When i pan L/R and it comes to mixing/mastering, should i leave it mono? Because i have tried this and i think stereo sounds better. And I see the option is grayed out on your amps. I can still switch them. It would be nice if you could give me a short answer if one should leave it on mono or is it just a matter of taste? EDIT: I am only working with VST Guitars. Does this maybe makes a difference?
@AteshElectric11 ай бұрын
Hey thanks so much, glad you enjoyed it! I always record mono. If i am recording something like a solo, then i will use my amp sim in “mono to stereo” to be able to use the stereo effects on my amp sim, like a delay. But if i am recording rhythm guitars, i always use mono out. I record seperate takes for left and right and when they are combined they become stereo (left and right channels are different than each other). Traditionally guitars are mono signals. The stereo mode exists to be able to work with already double tracked guitars, meaning you already tracked your guitars and you are reamping and you want the left and right channels to be the same sound (which is fine!). And yes if that is the case for you, it wont sound good mono. In that case i would def use stereo. Hope this helps, let me know if you need further detail.

@@AteshElectric Thank you for your fast answer! Unfortunately there are so much topics to deal with when you make music on your own..After I quit a bit frustrated about 3 years ago I want to start again now. And this mono/stereo topic really interests me. I watched a couple of YT Videos but I could not get the right information. I think for now I am following your advice to do what sounds good!
