Hey sorry for the confusion, I will be creating a new updated version of this video some time next week. This video focuses on items that were named during Secrets of the Obscure, but whose names changed in Janthir Wilds. The various rarities of "Rift Essences" replaced the essences of despair etc. So what you are getting will work for crafting! @@snuggler100 I have copper silver and rune in shared and also a set of gathering tools for that exact reason, makes it easier if all I have to do is remember to swap them out on character swap😅

minis have definitely fallen to the wayside for me, I have very rarely put effort into finding them. If they are cheap I'll pick them up, but I typically don't go out of my way.

I don't think that I have ever used a hood so I didn't notice, it's interesting that they would choose to get rid of hair completely. I guess if you have large hair like I do on my charr it makes sense, but still interesting haha, best of luck on that hood though! 😂

@snuggler100 that's definitely fair, I have been playing roughly one game a day for the past 2 years so I'm kinda used to it, but it's definitely an adjustment. People do take it very seriously too, which sometimes can make it tougher. I'm definitely not great at it, but I still try to have fun haha. I'm glad you enjoyed it though and I hope it stays fun through the event!

I run a mix of Berserker's and Marauder's on this character and likely just kept my regular Herald build that was designed for maintaining buffs and doing hammer damage in WvW. Just slapped a Greatsword on it, I believe!

@@rubyburritog damage output looks big! Doing low damage on my reaper ATM and it's getting boring in open world 😔

@deanmewis yeah it's pretty satisfying! Those stats are for my power build with marauder mixed in for the bonus vitality, so if you are looking for power stats/damage, those armor sets should be pretty good!

Yup! That's the plan! I largely did that for the entire gen 1 legendary set and now I plan to do it for one set of each of all 4 legendary armor sets. It is hard not to just craft them, especially since I am choosing the higher tier of WvW and PvP armors when I know I could be so much closer if I just did the "lower" tier😂 Congrats on crafting the shoulders and good luck with those rift essences, the sheer amount you need makes them such a pain!

I think most people craft one piece at a time, since once you craft your first piece, you can buy the suffused runestone thing and start working on that already

@Tibokio that is totally correct and exactly why you shouldn't do it my way. Also because if you build them one at a time you benefit from having at least part of the legendary set (swapping stats, transmutations etc) where as I will be waiting like 2 + years before I finish all 4 sets at the same time😂 i definitely would not suggest doing it this way lol

@@rubyburritog Good luck on the project and watch out to not get burned out! I found that swapping characters weekly helps with farming convergences and rifts. The variety helps a lot!

Thank you very much! Clovers will be easier to answer because I have my dailies as WvW and PvP, I have been doing a game of PvP and my WvW dailies most days over the last few years, so I got my clovers from the reward tracks. If you ever want to get rewards from those game modes (like the legendary armor) I would suggest going that route, or if you need gifts of battle etc, then you can farm WvW to get clovers. Otherwise, personally, I spend a lot of time in drizzlewood for a while trying to farm up more clovers and resources. For the intermediate crafting materials ( claws, blood, etc) I used volatile magic for the T5 and T6's for my legendary weapons and plan to do the same here, and I used laurels to get my T3's and plan to farm gold for the T4's, I doubt I will get enough laurels by the time I craft to make a dent. If I was smarter about it, I would have done a mix of crafting bags for laurels to get T3's and T4's instead of all T3's and selling the extras. I found that trying to farm them exclusively was pretty slow and I was better off farming gold. I could get maybe 100/hour (not consistently, but doing 5-10 minutes here and there) of farming blood, but if I do something else that I can get 10g plus per hour, the rewards are better that way, I think. Sorry, I know that was a lot of words, I will try to explain more in the February video for my plan for each and then ask if people have better suggestions so that I can learn more!

yeah, the new homestead is crazy fast, I haven't found the best place to sit to share it now that it isn't one of the main cities. Mine is full other than the chest, but that doesn't matter because you can only open it if you have it unlocked. The ability to auto harvest is so good.

@@rubyburritog yeah, imo, if you look at the cost to profit ratio, filling the home is not worth at all. but from the perspective of convenience, its about 60$ on the gem store and playing however you want for gold to buy what you need, then youre done and have it forever and no searching for nodes. also, where i advertise for my home instance is wizards tower and occasionally whatever the current busy new map is like where the janthir conversion is or something. my key to success is do what makes you happy and dont do it for the tips

haha I know the feeling, I have done that a couple times with some of the gem store skins they brought out before the holidays and I am about to do it again XD

They have not yet announced when the lunar new years event will be (which likely is a good sign they wont overlap as we usually have a week's notice) and based on the layout of their roadmap for 2025, I would say that if anything, it is likely to overlap with the PvP rush event. I am hoping that is not the case, but we don't have dates yet, so we will have to wait and see. hopefully, on Tuesday next week,we will have a better idea.

@ivern823 each of them does have benefits, living world season 4 episodes give you access to volatile magic, all of them have achievements and collections to do as well. You can get by without buying them, but if you like completing things or doing story I would suggest pucking them up if you can!

I would guess maybe the next update? If not Tuesday the 17th, probably the 24th. They may have the skin loaded and are just waiting for a future patch/black lion chest update to drop it! If it's a chest update, though, it will take at least a month. I am not too familiar with how everything That Shamen finds comes into the game, so I could be wrong, these are just guesses!
