I'm familiar with a lot of these places, (Shinpachi is a favorite) but did not know about Cafe Honmachi. I'll have to check it out. Thanks.

I have been following this channel for awhile now along with a few other Japan food vlogs. The thing that stands out to me is the almost complete absence of vegetables in the diet. Sure, there are some garnishes and the like. But vegetable based meals never seem to get a spotlight. Now I am not trying to extol the virtues of vegetarianism, veganism or other perversions here. But where is the green in these food adventures. The Japanese food world can't be entirely golden brown can it?

I'm surprised to see Tan Tan 擔擔麵 with soup. Traditionally in China it's mostly dry and not necessarily spicy using sesame paste.

And if those ice sculptures are still around? Thanks 😊
