I have a 3 month old Berner and she’s the best. Potted trained her in 2 weeks. And giving her commands are going well. She’s a very intelligent dog.

It’s so funny I just stumbled across this video because I almost adopted from you about a year and a half ago! I didn’t even realize this was you until a couple minutes into the video! I ended up finding a Bernese (from Ohio as well) that I absolutely fell in love with during my search and he is literally my entire heart! You have been and still are on my list of breeders if I adopt another! 💗 I know they’re small but I don’t know how you handled bathing 7 Berner babies at once. I could barely handle bathing my one when he was 6 months old and not even fully grown yet! 😅

They are darling but this was unkind to them. None of those pups were happy in that bath. The less time they spend in that tub the better. Since you can only wash one at a time anyway, you don't gain much with a presoak. Puppies and kittens tend to get the shivers when their fur is wet even when the room temperature feels warm. Also it is recommended to leave the head dry until after the body is washed, less stressful to the pup that way. I do congratulate you for wanting puppy photos. I raised 3 bernese mix from the same litter and had them photographed early on. I consider it one of the best decisions I ever made. Their baby pictures are a constant joy.

It might be better to bathe them separately as some of them are clearly in distress trying to get out and slipping and sliding around in the tub with the soap getting into their eyes. Negative associations are formed early on and might never leave them. When we got our puppy I got in the tub with her and we played around with her in the tub and with the water, giving her lots of treats so she has a positive experience in the tub. She doesn’t love baths but she isn’t stressed and doesn’t mind being showered down, she even enjoys in on her neck like a mini massage 😂
