@@socloseagain4298 cool. Your best posture is your next posture. Variety and variability is the normal way for humans. There is no right or wrong posture. Maybe consider that your posture adapts to what you do often. Research has shown just 10mins a day of stretching or whole body full range of motion will help things. I do online appointments if you need. Be careful of the BS out there. Most of it is unreliable and incorrect. Check for scientific papers - don’t take people’s word for it, including mine! Thank you Antony Lo for all your KZbin videos! I've watched several of them and have applied concepts like tension to task and variability to 4 of my patients this week, and have noticed IMMEDIATE differences in their symptoms, including urinary leakage and glute discomfort. For my runner, I had her do various running tasks with cues to exhale with landings vs. running with soft muscles, and noticed that she had less leakage with the cue to run soft. We also did running drills laterally, diagonally, and backwards, and noticed she wasn't leaking, which I think gave the patient more hope. I had another patient who is a butt clencher with all activities, because she was in debilitating pain, and we worked on releasing that tension, softening her gluteus, and notice immediate changes. @@jannat-al-mawa why will sitting hurt if you can find a way to sit pain free? As for the designed not to sit statement…there are very few land based mammals that cannot sit - giraffes bd greyhound dogs are two that come to mind. So right off the bat, that statement is problematic. Secondly, have a look around the world at nomadic tribes - they sit down. They have a similar total energy expenditure to modern people and they die earlier than we do. Thirdly, have a look at professions that stand for a living. People cannot stand still for long without discomfort. Even the military have 2 stances - at attention and at ease. Mats are provided for security guards. As are stools and rotating to other jobs. There is still no definitive proof that standing desks are better for you. I will agree that we are designed to move more than we do. But we are designed to sit as well.
