@@jimmclaughlin2728 I use to just tie cord to pins and spot with superglue, but now use etch pins and 0.3mm copper wire for a better finish.

I just found you video, and am truly in awe of your skills. You are a true craftsman in the spirit of the tradition ship modelers of old. You capture every detail to perfection. I found your video while searching for modeling information of Royal Oak as I am planning on purchasing the 1/700 scale kit by Orange Hobby. Their kit looks quite well done, and while I have always built 1/350 scale ships in the past, I thought I'd try my hand at a resin kit. I figure the smaller scale will be a good way to learn about building up a resin kit. Thank you for sharing this video, I will no doubt use it as a reference whilst building the kit.

I use several types, transform 4k, photons and wanhao d7, with funtodo resin which has on of the lowest shrinkage rates.

@@quaycraftmodelships Thanks again, I'm looking at the Phrozen mini 4k but I know there are some problems with it - most of which can be overcome. They pack 4k mono into a screen the size of an iPhone - that is some serious density! I'm also looking at the Longer Orange. They have a 4k mono coming out in April. The price point is 500-600. We'll see...

What resin printer are you using?
@quaycraftmodelships3 жыл бұрын
I use funtodo resin as it has one of the lowest shrinkage rates of 0.5% whereas other resin can shrink up to 3% they are available from funtodo3d.uk or from distributers around the world

Amazing work! I’m particularly impressed that you design and 3D print superstructure and other fittings. Do you have any at the same scale for Hood by any chance? I’m about to start and own a resin printer so if these were available it would be fantastic

Thanks for your comments. I can supply the ships boats and a lot of the fittings for 1:128 scale. Send me an email of what you are looking for via my website waterlinemodels.uk as I now own the quaycraft range of model masters. Thank you again.

Great work buddy, N gauge is so fiddley. I have a question. I want a Dodge American truck in N gauge, can you get designs for any vehicle in certain gauges. Thanks for your time mate, subbed

Thanks for the feedback and kind words. There are several free sites where you can download designs to print yourself or have a friend do it for you. I would start there and if successful get back to me if you need any further help.
