I just found you video, and am truly in awe of your skills. You are a true craftsman in the spirit of the tradition ship modelers of old. You capture every detail to perfection. I found your video while searching for modeling information of Royal Oak as I am planning on purchasing the 1/700 scale kit by Orange Hobby. Their kit looks quite well done, and while I have always built 1/350 scale ships in the past, I thought I'd try my hand at a resin kit. I figure the smaller scale will be a good way to learn about building up a resin kit. Thank you for sharing this video, I will no doubt use it as a reference whilst building the kit.

hey im trying to build a 3d model of the ship. Reference materials are really hard to find with just a google search. Do you have a website with more photos of this model?

I’m going to assume it’s goimg how she looked before her mid-30s refit where she got the forward experiments torpedo-tubes, since this model doesn’t have them

how are you doing that railing slip knot? your hands are in the way
@quaycraftmodelships3 ай бұрын
@@jimmclaughlin2728 I use to just tie cord to pins and spot with superglue, but now use etch pins and 0.3mm copper wire for a better finish.

Amazing work! I’m particularly impressed that you design and 3D print superstructure and other fittings. Do you have any at the same scale for Hood by any chance? I’m about to start and own a resin printer so if these were available it would be fantastic

Thanks for your comments. I can supply the ships boats and a lot of the fittings for 1:128 scale. Send me an email of what you are looking for via my website waterlinemodels.uk as I now own the quaycraft range of model masters. Thank you again.
