I have tried to sell a house for £700k for the past 3 months. Reduced it from £720k and been offered £650k which I rejected. This is in London. It’s in refurbished condition and in a quiet road near tube etc - this is a bargain price but there just aren’t any buyers.
@naeedaafzal30552 күн бұрын
you should take 650k because it's going to get worse and i mean much worse

This is the absolute opposite of my experience of the market over the past 6 months. Nothing above £500k is selling. Developers have reduced their prices several times, and their stock is still for sale. Why? Because even if people wanted to buy them, they can't sell their own properties. The market has more than stalled. It's pretty much stopped. Below £500k things are moving, but above that. Nada. The properties on my shortlist have not sold over the past 6 months either: they just keep coming off the market and re-appearing a month or so later, often with sizeable reductons, but they're still not selling, despite the reductions. Your observations seems to be in a different universe to the one I'm living in.
@naeedaafzal30552 күн бұрын
I have observed same as you, they are overpriced and being reduced by 50k each time and still not selling. The ones that are selling are below 500k below 400k and below 300 with discount

Where do you get your data from? Every part of every sector you have mentioned has red flags against it…. Mortgage rates = increasing GDP = 2x months negative Inflation = going up Jobs market = rapidly decreasing House prices = slowly decreasing Recession = increasingly likely Not sure if you missed labours autumn budget, however, it was a shambles & sending the economy into turmoil. I’d strongly fact-checking your scripts & content before publishing.

Very insightful at this time as some comments are saying it so different in so many ways , a complex. Market for sure. For me looking to downsize and move out of my current area makes this process much harder. Eco housing would cost at least 25% of a property to retro fit it. So how will this be possible to do with people on a fixed pension …..

ONS continually marking values down on revised figures. increasing supply. Its tougher to borrow as rates are up. labours budget adding pressure by increasing company ni contributions + min wage leading to an large redundancys as country heads toward recession. Rightmove feed full of reductions even on new builds + stamp duty increase. 😅 so many positive signs going into 2025

Wow, WoW, WoW!!! This is like listening to a communist broadcast. ‘We should legislate to move old people out of homes that they worked hard all their life to own’. Absolutely disgusting rhetoric. Next this channel will be stating, the Government take over old peoples homes to put migrants into. This is USSR and Nazi Germany rhetoric and comes from individuals who have no understanding what it is like to live under both of these type of regimes. This channel is showing how dislocated they are to ground truth with what is happening out there. Prices where I am, are all falling, with most dropping from listed price to sold price on an average £25,000 to £50,000. Nothing spoken on this interview chimes with the reality of what we are seeing as estate agents. Sadly national and local data is so misleading to ground truth, so people believe prices are going-up, when in fact they have been dropping for at least 4+ months and not just dropping, significantly dropping. When new home builders are listing a property £20,000 to £30,000 under the same property listed price 6 months ago.

The market is in a Dire state and no matter how much they try to talk the market up reality will prevail with unemployment increasing, interest rates rising and recession approaching hold on to your hat.

This has been the narrative since the GFC, Covid, the election, the budget…. The macro factors will keep driving values up. But congrats on trying to talk it down. 😂🎉

Survey just showed the space listed as dining area is actually a substandard outbuilding which has been converted into this space with thin walls and polycarbonate roof and no building regulation sign off. according to sellers, a sign off is not needed because no extension work has been done! The surveyor told me there will be heat loss/gain and it’s not up to habitable standard! Should we walk away ?

Hi, I'm a decorator. Just some buisness advice on anyone wanting to become a decorator or all ready is one. £150 per day is no where near what you want to charge, if I charged that I could pay myself £420 per week for 52 weeks of a year. Cheers

I do really appreciate all the work that goes into these little videos. Very helpful as I’m getting my house ready for sale. However, I find it so tiring to have that music on in the background! It’s incredibly hard to concentrate on what you’re saying, and I find myself fighting against it. Music added over the human voice causes dizziness to those of us with neurological conditions. It’s painful after a short while and I have to turn off. I always ask the kind folk who upload, if they will consider producing stuff without music, and most are very happy. They don’t realise just how many of us have this condition. And the whole world of online viewing: TV dramas, documentaries, adverts and current affairs programmes all come with added music. The music is often aimless and dreary, sometimes just a few notes repeated over and over. There’s also the sort of jeopardy music when watching programmes about scams etc. Anyway, just thought I’d ask. And for anyone who doesn’t understand what I’m asking, please don’t suggest I acquaint myself with the mute button 😂 I live alone and I’m housebound for much of the time - silence is with me most of the time but I do like to keep up with the world. ❤

Hi Movie iQ, I hope you're doing well! I’d love to offer your channel/group free videos, live streams, and information about tenant rights, eviction processes, and what steps to take in difficult situations. Our goal is to spread awareness, provide guidance, and empower your audience with the knowledge they need. Let me know if this sounds helpful, and we can discuss how to get started. Thank you.

What do solicitors require from buyers in terms of anti money laundering requirements? How deep do they need to go in terms of statements? If you have investments and you sold them do they ask for receipts and is it their responsibly also to ensure you have paid tax etc on them?
