At first I thought the gameplay demonstration was going to devolve into random button pushing, but you seem to have done some research despite not having the manuals to hand. I like the cleaning tips too.
@ScottMadeAThing12 күн бұрын
Haha there was mindless button pushing off camera, which resulted in confusion and I deserved that for thinking it would just make sense, i knew I had to track down a scan of the instructions online and give it a conscious go. I’m sure if I had the actual cards to hand (that scanned) I could have spent a few more hours with it! Thanks for watching :)

Hey! Sorry for the late reply, I actually don’t know the answer, I’ve got it packed away at the moment, although have just got a nice big CRT TV so will be getting it set up for that after I’ve finished working on my latest video. It can’t hurt to give it a try either way, I know you can make folders to organise games so maybe the folder structure is more forgiving than it might seem :)

Does installing this software give it 4mb+1mb card simulator and it give function to the saroo as the action replay and other or not? Unless there no softwares that make it do that and it's a hardware issue? (This is based my saroo that said that can't do that, I wonder if I can change the software to make it do that)

I’m not entirely sure, the listing said it ‘Supports 1mb and 4mb’ and I think there are 4 little RAM chips on the board but can’t be sure. I’ve had to pack it away due to space requirements at the moment otherwise I’d test it. Maybe it depends on the version of the board and/or the firmware? Hmmmm…

Perfect video on how to set up your Saroo. Straight forward, easy to follow and well narrated. Great work. One thing though - I can't believe you painted over the LED's and removed the label! As someone who grew up poor af in Detroit, but had my mother still bust her ass to get me evey dumbass sega, 3D0, nintendon't and PSX through the 90s, I am mortified not having the rich collection of classic games I had twenty years ago due to issues after mom died back in the day. Every channel I find talking about fixing these things never is super clear about the process pitfalls, or details in general - likely due to the fact that they are also usually running a business repairing things... Definitely subbed, I can already tell that Im going to learn a lot from your channel. Got exactly the same issue, so gonna buy a battery off eBay, and do what you did… use the new Battery Management Board on the old Battery. Great video, already knew what this fault when I watch Stez Fix’s video. Thanks anyway. 👍👍👍👍
@ScottMadeAThingАй бұрын
Niiiice! One thing to be mindful of is that if the battery has degraded over time then it’ll still be a rubbish battery. I haven’t googled it for a while but man, why are these specific batteries non existent? You can get slightly larger or smaller ones but going smaller you lose a lot of mAh for the size. And as Steve found out, the polarity is reversed on the connector… such a shame that the batteries are so hard to come by, as your average tinkerer could easily replace a battery for someone, but it’s a little more advanced having to swap out the BMS from a donor battery. I still have the donor battery without a BMS and I’m too scared to use it haha. Thanks for taking the time to watch the video :)

@ No problem. I attached a usb c charger to the old Battery, and fully charged it. I put it back into the the Evercade EXP, and it did hold charge, and battery symbol was showing full charge. I bought my original Saturn because I used to spend so much money playing sega rally in the arcade. It plays absolutely beautifully, I’ll never understand how they translated the feel of wheel and pedals so well to a digital pad. The response and momentum are just perfect. The 4th track absolutely is there, and it’s fierce difficult, the sides are super sticky and take all your speed away. An extra car and mirror modes are your rewards for completion.
