Ah thank you so much :) glad you like it. Originally I was looking into an ACTUAL white noise generator, as in white noise as a signal and then using pots and caps to adjust the tone and cutoff frequencies etc which would have been quite fun, but would essentially be a synth with one boring purpose. So for once I went super simple. Honestly I can’t do without it now I’ve made it!

Love this. Ive got a few mp3 modules kicking around from when I needed to quickly fabricate a music player before running out into london... Something like this but with thunder and lightning would be awesome for me. :)

Glad you like dude! Yeah I mean it’s basically a mono MP3, could easily add in a battery as there’s battery management on it I believe, I just have 2x 7.5hr mono tracks of two different types of noise, on a cheap old 1Gb card I had from some tat I bought years ago. Could easily add a larger card with more choices of sounds. I have the MP3 that the original RainyMood.com website used years ago, could easily loop that up to 8hrs and use that. For me though, I like the consistent noise creating a noise floor to mask other noises. Will be most useful in the winter when the heating comes on and off, all the pipes in my walls that I can’t get to bang as they expand and move through the brackets. Nightmare!
