I realized that this realization besides being an identity crisis could potentially endanger Paulie's status in the Mafia and even his life. What if his dad is non-Italian? Other organized crime groups like the Irish mafia, the Bloods, and the Crips are a little more liberal but the mafia has strict policies about ethnicity, non-Italians may only be associates not made men.
