Most sources lists a salary of between 120 000 and 210 000 $. That seems like an extremely good salary when you don't have kids and commute by public transportation. Excuse my ignorance, but it seems to me like Elliot could easily afford an apartment costing hundreds of thousands of dollars. But maybe this is starter-apartment.
