the wide shot of the tiled room in Rostov is very nice.

The pretentions of modern horror writers and literati gatekeepers in big New York publishing houses fresh out of MFA programs is the culprit behind boring covers. I really hate it when they give a mediocre cover to an old classic from the 70s or 80s, contaminating a noble work with an unimaginative piece of art. If anything, the popularity of Grady Hendrix's retrospective Paperbacks from Hell has proven just how much the horror reading public is clamoring from that old wild cover art and full tilt horror stories.

Never thought anybody could ever be nostalgic for early 80s Conan ripoff sword-and-sorcery films. The title for this clearly comes from The Sword and the Sorcerer, a fun piece of gory, sleazy kitsch. There's nothing that can even be said...is there? Fair play to youse for at least trying, though.

You guys could cover so many different 60s/70s/80s genres! Sword and Sorcery, Grindhouse, Exploitation, Horror, Comedy, Fantasy, Fairy Tales, Victorian Gothic, Medieval, Vampire films! Have you considered an Arabian Nights set movie?

A boy, a knight, a dragon and a villainess who is good in acrobatic and joins good guys. Why? Just why Dragonheart Vengeance was nothing like that brilliant movie?!!!

It's not a classic for me, it was an okay film and worth a watch but it didn't rock my boat.

yeah, I really miss the old Zebra book covers, like on Ruby Jean Jensen or William W Johnstone. Or Robert R McCammon paperbacks. That was some nice art!

I couldn't agree with this more! For a decent cover today you've got to look at indie horror because you won't find it among those from the big publishers.
