Incredible performance by the multifaceted danseuse, whose body is filled with myriad of sculptures from ancient dance forms of the great Bharat varsha. What is more interesting is that she performed seamlessly with an ease in all repertoire, she is a doyen who leaves the rasikas spellbound and awestruck!!!

Almost felt like Bharatnatyam...that leg kicking movement is barely done in odissi ..please add more Odissi anga to it.. Odissi shiva karanas are a bit different ❤

These are Natyasastra karanas which are common for all dance forms . And there is always room for exploration in our dance forms . Bharatanatyam is very different than what you see here . These are purely karanas .

@@natyakalavidyalaya yeah but late gurus of odissi have never utilised such kicking movements in Odissi in their choreographies.. there are some steps which suits well some dance forms.. that's what I was saying
