Indians were depicted doing a circular "war dance" (using movements very similar to what the ladies were doing) around a central campfire, while "whooping". The sound was made by each "warrior" tapping the fingers of one hand (the way you illustrated) while shouting a loud "WOO" sound, and the result was an ear-splitting, rhythmic "WOO-WOO-WOO"! (Incidentally, this same sound would get my brothers and I sent outdoors to play, every time we raced through the house imitating it.) The "Indian War Whoop" gained popularity and was eventually used in scenes when Indians attacked (especially when they raced their horses around settlers' circled wagons, using one hand to hold the bow, another hand to string and fire the arrows, a third hand to do the whoop, and their knees to keep the horse moving in the right direction). As to why a similar movement and sound were used in this video, I would guess that someone in the creative crew was old enough to remember old Westerns and decided this Hollywood-manufactured method of declaring war against someone "invading your territory" might add a little ferocity to Blackpink's image. If not * shrug * it beats the heck outta me, but that's my 2-cents-worth.
