I think this is a move in the right direction for single port (non doghouse) engines. But doesn't this put even more oil cooler air exit heat onto cylinder #3?

Our extensive testing found that oil temps dropped 10 degrees operating between 2000-5000RPM and we did not observe heat transfer to cylinder heads

Mr Sacchette, thank you for building my new 1600 dual port long block. It replaced the original 50 year old motor the push around a super beetle for 346,000 miles. It was rebuilt a few times. New engine runs so quiet compared to the old it's a hard to believe.

Mid engine diff flip? what kinda torque can a ryhno case hold in a mid engine set up?

A lot just like stock case unless you are running slicks and dropping the clutch.

@jostrander71 I called Ranchero Performance and they told me flipping the diff changes the thrust on the main shaft or one of the shafts and will destroy the transmission...apparently there is a clip that holds the shaft and flippingthe diff puts the opposite thrust on it and the clip will fall off.
