Don't you know earlier this morning an elderly man approached me and asked me about the Artist of this song and when i played it he had a sentimental look in his eyes and was very very appreciated that I played it. I enjoyed it myself Ms. Queen Washington your song will never go unheard.

OMG! I stumbled across this and I'm soo glad. When I was a small child my mom would play her music every Saturday while she cleaned the house over and over. I really wasn't that sure which blues singer it was until I heard this voice. It was definitely Dinah Washington. Thanks for posting this talented awesome lady.

Yes, Miss Dinah a original soul singer. My mom did same on Saturday morning playing her music and others while cleaning the house. A powerhouse of a voice. RIP Ms. Washington

The pianist is definitely Roberta. Listen to the song "Whisper a Prayer" on Savoy MG-14119 side B, track 9 in the key of G. She plays that song in the similar ragtime style. She could really jam when led!!

Billy Eckstine had beautiful harmony in so many of his songs. Also, a very wide of span in his voice...way about the 10th to almost a 16th on the piano.

Mr. Direfranchement I return to these posts of yours of Maxine and the sublime music that once occupied a spot in the culture collective when thrown against the sad vulgarity of pop music it only makes it all the more moving. Thank you.

If I had to choose just one day If I had to choose just one day To last my whole life through It would surely be that Sunday The day that I met you Newborn whippoorwills were calling from the hills Summer was a-coming in but fast Lots of daffodils were showing off their skills Nodding all together, I could almost hear them whisper "Go on, kiss her, go on and kiss her" And if I had to choose one moment To live within my heart It would be that tender moment Recalling how we started Darling, it would be when you smiled at me That way, that Sunday, that summer Newborn whippoorwills were calling from the hills Summer was a-comin' in but fast Lots of daffodils were showin' off their skills Nodding all together, I could almost hear them whisper "Go on, kiss her, go on and kiss her" If I had to choose one moment To live within my heart It would be that tender moment Recalling how we started Darling, it would be when you smiled at me That way, that Sunday, that summer If I had to choose just one day
