I currently have Superlative Arms AGB''s on my AR's (AR308, M4, 300BLK SBR and 8.6BLK SBR). The Ultradyne AGB is interesting and looks similar to the SupArms AGB, though you did not mention if it held the "bleedoff" functionality like Sup Arms or just a regular open/close to 'x' number of clicks. ;)

Out of the 3 which one shoots the best. I’ve shot Winchester and they never out shot a marlin in 44 or 357. But I never did a comparison to the 30-30. Henry’s seem a bit heavy and might shoot better. ? W ruger taking over a stainless might be in the cards ?

I have a question here. I have a polonium 30 suppressor, and was wondering with the .311 and .312 bullets if that would cause problems with my standard 30 cal can. Any insight/help would be appreciated!

I suspect the lack of differences amongst the brake bore sizes on the bolt gun are due to a mach disk (virtual baffle) forming across one or more of the baffle bores. Once a mach disk forms, all of the expanding gasses behind it are forced sideways. ipo.llnl.gov/sites/default/files/2023-05/Suppressor-LLNL-VIDEO-685057%2Baudio%2BCC.mp4 I look forward to your video about brake bore size effects on accuracy.

i have had a hell of a time with adjustable gas blocks on my guns. all unsupressed some i blame the gun, some i blame myself, some i blame the ammo. first was the kel tec rfb, i spent years and about 2500 rounds dicking around with that thing trying to make it reliable and finally gave up and pawned it. i blame kel tec on that one. then i had the palmetto KS47 12.5", i never got that thing to last more than 450 rounds before it would brake an extractor no matter how much i babied it with adjustable gas blocks heavy buffers or different extractos, that one i blame the desighn and steel case ammo just being too much for a short barrel like that. the last one was a 12.5" 300blk i thought was my fault until i finally diagnosed a gas block not sealing to the barrel right leading to inconsistent gassing shot to shot.

Put a little Loctite 640 around the gas port on the barrel journal. Put it far enough back in front of the gas port so it won't go inside the port when you slide the gas blcok on. This will seal the gas block but be warned, a little goes a long way and it you use too much, it maybe a bugger to get off.

@@hairydogstail i would try that but if i know it will be hard to get off i need to know it is going to work 100% beforehand. fortunately i grabbed a different adjustable gas block and ran the snot out of it to confirm reliability then used loctite on the set screws and a dimple in the barrel for each set screw. fun fact loctite 272 which is high temp stuff does not get melted out of the set screw threads even when the barrel is VERY VERY hot. I ran 6 mags as fast as i could through it before trying to take it off and all the loctite i put on those screws was still there.

Adjustable gas blocks only work if the gas port is oversized for the ammunition being used (over gassed). They will not increase the barrel port pressure as many think. Adjustable gas blocks leak more gas by their design and can actually cause malfunctions if the rifle is perfectly gassed with a standard gas block. I do run adjustable gas blocks for suppressed and when using weaker pressured ammunition like steel cased. I also use them with my competition rifles with the lighter buffers and carriers. I have tried many different types, but the only two I will use is the Superlative (blow out setting, not the choke side setting) and Rifle Speed. Adjustable gas blocks need to be maintained (oiled regularly and move the adjustment knob in and out) or they will become carbon locked. The Rifle Speed is the most durable, easily modified for the rifles need, maintained and has the ability to adjust without the need of tools. Adjustment springs that are on the inside of the gas block itself will fail because of the heat created by the block. The Rifle Speed has the adjustment spring on the outside of the block, can be double stacked for more resistance in the adjustment and is not effected by the heat.

Yes. A nights soak in hoppes #9 will loosen it up though. I clean the barrel with it and it gets in the block through the gas port.

Incremental zoom adjustment! A premium feature that should be advertised. Most scopes simply double the magnification only. The resolution or picture quality also gets cut in half with each higher magnification increase. Really really nice. It looks like there is some fine focus adjustment to increase picture quality in your video unless it was a high humidity day or low temperature differential.

i would not build an AR nowadays without an adjustable gas block. It makes a big difference to be able to tune for any ammo, suppression, barrel length.

Start by bedding the rifle. If you have the synthetic stock you bed the action with Devcon, and fill the stock with Rubber silicone. This will improve recoil management and accuracy. Yes you can spend more money if you have it to my a $200+ stock, and scopes.

Good video. I have a few comments. 1. There was a bit of confusion - the pushing in with the gauge gave a LONGER reading than the Locktite or the sized case methods. This means the camming effect of the bolt pushed the bullet FURTHER into lands. 2. I have used the sized case method for decades - with a variation. I mark the bullet with a Sharpie marker pen (traditionally use a candle to apply soot). I seat the bullet long and note the comparator reading. I then chamber it with the bolt. When I remove the dummy round, sometimes the bullet can get stuck in the lands and needs to be tapped out. Now the rifling marks and the case mark are clear on the bullet as the Sharpie ink will be scratched. Now I can seat the bullet back to the sharpie case neck mark & measure on the comparator. 3. The scratch mark on the sharpie ink shows the taper effect of the rifling & when the bullet starts engaging with rifling. Normally about +/- 2 mm or 80 thou.

I've never mounted the scope to the rings before securing the rings to the rifle. I think that method makes sense when mounting to a pic rail but if you have rings that mount directly to the receiver, I think it's best to 1) tightly secure the rings to the rifle first, 2) lap the in order to ensure high degree of contact, 3) mount the optic (keeping everything level of course). Great video! Look like fantastics rings.

.30-06 and .375 H&H... if no other cartridges had ever been invented, i'm pretty sure hunting would have faired just about as well as it has with just these two. I've got both these too, i live and hunt in grizzly country and i run those same Nosler bullets in my .375, 300 grainers. I load a mid-range powder charge from the Lyman manual, IMR 4064. Six things i DON'T want - maximum velocity, fastest possible bullet expansion, lots of meat damage, maximum possible recoil, maximum wear and tear on rifle, possible diminished accuracy. Which is what you get loading hot.

Love the way that rig turned out. Now that you have your settings dialed in you can do a digital camo pretty easy. For the under coat do different spots of color. Do the same over coat and then laser off a digital camo pattern to reveal the different colors under.

Why choose the 357 SIG when the 9x25 Dillon can be loaded to SIG levels or to full 9x25 specs? That same goes for the 40S&W when 10mm is available. SIG was attempting to duplicate the performance of the 125gr 357 Magnum aka "the man stopper", which it fell short of, whereas the 9x25 duplicates. When both cartridge are loaded full SAAMI spec like those from Underwood Ammo, both have the exact same velocity of 1,700 fps and both produce 802 ft.lbs of muzzle energy.
