It has a 7" lift with some fender trimming to get the 36s to fit, the control arms are adjustable aswell to center the axles pinion angles

They do have slipper clutch eliminators, if you picked yours up used someone could have installed an eliminator on yours

Because I'm getting the 7" pro rock link long arm lift for mine and running 35x12.50R15 with 15x10 bullet hole wheels soon and absolutely getting a snorkel since last go round resulted in me having now to rebuild the 5.2 due to liquid courage induced friends saying no 🏀🏀 lol and mud hole was deeper then I thought lol

I really just spray them down with water then use compressed air to dry them to keep any metal from rusting

Hey bro it’s been awhile since I’ve commented !!!!!!. I hope you’ve been doing well !!!!!. I just bought myself one of these brand new off of Ebay when it was on a Horizon Hobby special sale for 649.99. I spent 675 dollars on it total altogether. What’s the exact speed I should be hitting with it out of the box stock with all the stock stuff on 8S and on 6S ???????….. just want to know what it’ll do box stock with stock everything ij it. Mine came with the Spektrum Firma smart esc and motor. It’s the newer V2 model. It’s the gray version in color with the red rims. I got it 7 1/2 almost 8 months ago and didn’t even freaking drive it yet. It’s my first ever 1/6th scale !. I also want to buy myself the 1/5th Losi DBXL-E 2.0 or another E-Revo 1/8th but the 2.0’E-Revo since I already have the 1.0 version. I hope you’ve been good bro all your help and advice on gearing for this Super Rock Rey V2 will help me out TONS !.

How's it going brother? I've been good just been tied up with work haven't really had a chance to mess around with the RCs in awhile. Congrats on the new losi, I don't believe I've ever clocked the top speed on this beast but this truck is decently fast but it really shines on the low end of things once you hit the throttle this thing definitely moves lol. Have you had any issues with the shocks leaking? I know early on these had problems with the shock seals I had to rebuild mine pretty much out of the box but I'm sure they solved that issue by now

Nice!! Oh yeah the 8s is a wheelie machine I put in a higher gear ratio to try and calm the wheels down a bit. I haven't tested the effect on top speed with discharge rate with the xmaxx but have on my slash but on the slash it did increase the top speed of the truck slightly but it's definitely more noticeable on the lower end of things. I do have the video on here somewhere where I compare the difference

I think they do, I'm pretty sure I had to swap them before when one of the hexes spun inside of the wheel. You'll just have some trimming to do on the body so they don't rub with the bigger tires and rims

Hey does that aluminum part weigh more than the original plastic parts? My rustler is already pretty heavy. I added MIP steel axels and proline tires that are heavier an also aluminum steering an caster blocks and a chassis brace. I have over heating issues big time so I'm afraid more weight may make it worse. I know aluminum will probably last forever but the weight I've added is too much for it already an I have 3 high speed fans too. I have also replaced every bearing in it including in the motor. Still over heats.

The aluminum parts are heavier then the plastic parts, have you tried gearing your rustler a little lower it just may help with the extra weight and keep your temperatures down

I really can't remember off the top of my head what gearing this slash has I may have kept the gearing stock because I was running high c rated battery packs but I'm not 100% sure it's been a few years since I've ran this truck

I hear brother, but I was in a pinch when this bracket broke I literally just lined the bracket up to the brake and ran the bead with just a quick pass with the wire wheel because we needed the trailer back out with the intentions that the brackets need replacing anyway so not my best work buy far lol

Honestly I don't think that's possible, anytime you modify the suspension and add bigger tires it always affects the handling of the vehicle the bigger tires tend to follow the grooves of the road more the bigger you go. My best advice is to go with a stiffer coil to try and minimize the body roll, sway ect iv ran rough country in the past the coils are a little soft now I'm running iron rock off road springs which are a little stiffer and have definitely improved the handling

@@fullthrottleobsessions i understand what you are saying, but there are plenty of trucks with huge tires driving fine on the road, maybe a ram steering is required to get that done... those trucks probably have much stronger steering and power steering pump, but it can be done and should be done

I recently got a 4x4 rustler vxl and ordered some bigger shocks for it on Amazon super stoked to put them on and they looked great but the first jump I busted a front shock cap 😳 Got me a set of traxxas big bores with the aluminum caps and I'm running 50w with stiffer traxxas springs and it rides like a Dream now! Highly recommended 👌

I hear yah it would definitely be beneficial when you have access to AC power so you don't have to drain your batteries. I always have this compressor on our delivery truck and it has gotten me out of quiet a few situations on the road

Thanks for the heads up lol the only silicone that was used was where the tape overlaps each other. These panels were installed about 8 years ago and are still going strong tape, silicone, panels ect
