Is there a reason the “have mercy on us” part of lamb of God is said three times instead of two?

In fact, this video is not monetized because it is someone else’s music, and copyright prohibits monetization. We created this video and others like only as a resource, not as a way to make money. So, if an ad is popping up, we are unaware of how that’s possible. Sorry about that.

This is one of my favorites from the pre-2011 changes. I still even like today’s. I’m a mass setting nerd keeping track of what mass settings the parish around me use. Not a lot of churches in my area use it. There’s a church 45 minutes away from me still in our diocese that uses it currently.

What a shame she didn't compose a Gloria or Lamb of God. We use the Gospel acclamation on rotation. We also used to sing the Sanctus & Memorial Acclamations pre new translation. Hauntingly beautiful pieces. She is truly one of the most amazing liturgical composers of modern times. Wonderful! Thank you for posting 🙏

The way my aunt did these was way less jazzy but still great. One of my fave mass sets. Love the way she did the gloria. Her friend does a different one which is very bright & full of praise in a fun way too.

St. Cecilia Parish in Calgary, Alberta, is replacing the Mass of St. Frances Cabrini with the Mass of Renewal setting. Can I break your Mass of Renewal mass setting into single songs and create a KZbin Movie Maker practice sing-along using them as templates?

This is great setting for when there are special feasts like Holy Thursday, Christ the King, Pascha, etc. Could you just imagine the bells on Holy Saturday and on Holy Thursday when the bells are rung during the Gloria? That would sound like Heaven.

I wonder how Dan was able to get that "Have mercy on us" into the :Lord Have Mercy" ? (as I understand it, while *REPEATING* words is ok, isn't *ADDING NEW* words not in the current translation a no-no?

Interesting point! Mass of Glory also has this added into the Lord, Have Mercy. It is certainly true that before 2010, many composers “ran wild” with translations, and since then things have become much stricter.
