If you have wide lats it makes your punches deceptively longer

No you are supposed to go over the opponents hand with the cross hence why its called a cross, its supposed to go slightly around and packs more power, and can also be slightly loaded up but best used in a 1-2 string. What you are showcasing is a straight, or not even a straight just a rear handed jab that barely has any torque in it but good for points I guess.

For any and all, the single fact that he’s narrating/coaching/calling out strikes as he’s performing them, is incredibly difficult. Great video Ben, love the knee disguise nugget. Cheers.

Lead with the knee and turn the hips in the direction you want your kick to go. Excellent video.

Question. Are double kicks useful at all in combat sports? An example would be chambering your leg for a side kick to the stomach, recoiling it to raise it higher and kick head level. Kind of like Bill Superfoot Wallace. Great video.

Question. I learned a footwork called the slide up. Back foot slides up to front foot and front foot moves forward. You can slide up to kick or punch to close the gao. Is it not a good idea to use it. I see it primarily used in point sparring. Great video and best wishes.

Boxing only yes. MMA no. If your feet come together you’re in a poor position for defending kicks and takedowns. The idea of a sprint base is, if you’re going backwards you have far more options whether it’s cutting the angle, a counter or changing of levels for a takedown. A good example of someone good at this is McGregor vs Alvarez, look at the knock downs. Or the McGregor vs Aldo KO. The best person at this currently is Alex Periera. Go and watch any of his fights and just keep an eye on his feet

Good coaching on the fundamentals of stance and movement. I wouldnt personally have mentioned MMA for whats in this clip, as everything here is just very general to any combat sport that allows punches and it doesnt address takedowns and such. That being said, its quality content, geared for beginners who need to learn or refresh the basics. I suspect the full seminar went deeper into MMA specifics.

I am sorry, but you are not reinventing the wheel. This is a typical Muay Thai foot work. If you trained in Thailand you know what I am talking about. Ppl love to rebrand and take credit for something that has been existing for ever…
