If you want queen bees, use the feather farm trick and break the hive in a small fenced area - like birds, bugs can't escape it so they're easier to catch.

I don't really remember, I think it will expire, but don't worry, those quests are repeatable, it will come up again.

How I protect my farm and farm feathers and meat. I build my farm near the dingos and don't ever kill the dingos. Any bird, or kangaroo for that matter, that dare goes near the plants get swarmed by dingos. They do be good boys. And i noticed sometimes when I whistel they come and do the hunting for me. Speaking of playing dirty, when hunting apexs during times when avoiding attacks I lure teh apex's toward any other predator to do damage for me. But lordy there is nothing you can do for mining I HATE going down there it's not enjoyable.

For mining I guess you just walk and do your own stuff, don't fight unless it's necessary. For the bats, you can bring "bat zapper" to kill them off quickly. And yes, I agree, making hostile mobs fighting each other is also a good strategy.

Another tip. I use fences against all Alphas because i can jump over fences but they don't. Even with a basic Spear you can kill them

You need to have "Quarry" or "Deep Mine" unlocked. You can also mine natural ores spawned in the world.

Do you know for sure if the Guitar target a random animal, or a random animal *that has yet to be petted*? I have a feeling that it's the former not the latter based on my experience.

If I remember correctly, it targets random animal, the petting state is not considered. But keep in mind this was made 7-8 months ago, there might be updates that changed the functionality of the guitar.

Alpha devil is easiest enemy. Just stay very close to him. His damage area will be after you and he will not hit you.

How did you get so many mining nodes to spawn in one place? I just play to relax, I'll never bother with the mine or fighting, but I've never seen so many nodes on my map. I hope all these bugs have been patched, exploiting the game and using cheats just ruins the fun for me. I always dig a hole and put my flower beds inside the hole so they are flush with ground level.

For the mining nodes, I suggest you to watch Tips and Tricks part 2, at the Rocky Dirt Tiles section for more information. Basically, there is a rocky tile called "Quary_RockyDirt" that generates ores over time, it works similarly to a quarry. These tiles are usually spawned as veins/nodes on the map, if you find one then I recommend you to build your town nearby so that you can get free ores every day. 😄 Dinkum Tips and Tricks part 2 here btw: kzbin.info/www/bejne/h5mcY6GCoruEms0

Enjoying fishing, I've never caught a fish. This is the most dreadful implementation of fishing I've seen; totally ignore it I refuse to button mash for anyone. More stupidly, I've stabbed lots of sharks to death and never got a shark hunter achievement. Great video by the way.

Just run around to lure a lots of bats then use a tool called "Bat Zapper" to kill them. You can get one from Ted Selly, good luck. 😚

I'm sorry but it only appears in December 2022 in real life, there might be a mod to adjust that. Or you can use commands to spawn one if you want to, for more information you can ask people in Dinkum Discord.

Change your computer date to December before loading your game. I didn't play for a few months (including December) and it worked for me 😊

Steel cage the creatures only need to be at around 50% health to capture without them breaking out. ~25% is for the basic traps.
