It really is beautiful that she is who she is & proud of who she is! It should not matter how she words it, it’s her verbiage. Why is it that nowadays especially, people get butt hurt over issues that really don’t concern them when we should be proud & uplifting for one another?

I'm but I'm not AMERICAN black. They want to get in their feelings when people are firm in their identity and don't want to be lumped up into one big group with a POC or BIPOC label. I only share skin colour with the black community in America. I have a lot more in common with Africans.

WRT their black ancestry, Coloureds are not descendants of the Khoisan only dear. Their black ancestors come from all the indigenous tribes…

Just stay in Africa then ! That's ok for Africa but make no mistake it won't work in America - why come to a land that you don't respect if you can't respect the view point that the word would not be acceptable here.

We are not all descendants of the Khoisan or Bushmen. Coloureds are a very diverse mixed ethnic group of people with DNA from all over the world. We can't be defined by history textbooks so stop trying to put us in a box.

The term "colored" has no ethnic significant. Some white racists made it up in 1950 to divide black people in South Africa. Claiming that designation simply demonstrates and inferiority complex and highlights the absolute ignorance of the people on the African continent who continue to allow outsiders to come in and define them. Unbelievable!

Coloured South Africans are mixed and descendants of Khoisans? Are Khoisans considered mixed? How?
@RamDav-ph7fq12 күн бұрын
Every person on planet Earth is colored. Which is why the word colored is not a race. Based on treatment, all people fall on one side of the two poles of black and white based on predominant skin color. This is true no matter your ethnicity and or identity.
@Saveahorse8213 күн бұрын
Don't tell black Americans what is black. Just say by the African definition she is not black. You non American blacks or so annoying. We have a different history and different culture. To us mixed people are black. Get over yourself.

"Black" Americans can call themselves people of color., but can't hear Tyler calling herself coloured🤔 Americans. Especially so called "black" Americans. Your history is not our history. Your N word is derogatory right? So why do you use it in you music and movies?!🤔 Leave my sister alone!!! We are proud Coloureds!

We don't have an issue with her being coloured. We just didn't know that because she was marketed as Black. Now that we know, we are free to decide if that's something we are interested in supporting. Most people don't like being misled. I'm sure you can understand that. Thank you for letting us know she doesn't consider herself Black❤❤❤❤

I say learn about South African cultures and politics. You will find that if we are mixed race, the government of South Africa does not consider you black whether you like it or not. We were called Coloureds during apartheid and the new government kept it that way. I am proudly South African Coloured.
