I used to really love ❤ this sound. This is the sound that I play in my head when I'm waking up. I don't need coffee, I've got a built-in Dash 60. Rrrrrrrrrrrkkkkkkkkk There's nothing like the sound of 20,000 rpm! 🤣

I was the T shift red rope back in March- April 2003. We went into Delta when the Iraq war kicked off and I had to run the whole Squadron to and from class for a couple days. Crazy times! I loved marching everyone but back then I don’t believe any video was taken. Just a photo but I love this! Brings back some good memories with the Squad killin Jodie’s, waking everyone up and even getting some people yelling and cheering us on…all while in step of course 😉🫡

The big "box" next to the Dash 60 is a cooling unit. The big tube connected to it is jet engine exhaust (hot). The force of the hot air powers a blower that moves cold air. It's pretty amazing. The Dash 60 is used to "start" an aircraft that doesn't have internal starting (like the F4). It literally "blows air" to turn on the engine. The Dash 60 also provides a huge amount of electrical power.
@SciHeartJourney3 жыл бұрын
Firing up a "Dash 60" was the closest that ever got to flying a "jet" when I was in the Air Force! The sound is even more amazing in real life. It is a jet engine! They use the engine in T38 trainers. It takes about a minute to spool up to full speed from a dead start. It's the sound of POWER!
@larissahamilton17263 жыл бұрын
It most definitely is NOT the same engine that is in a T-38 Talon...
@SciHeartJourneyАй бұрын
@@larissahamilton1726 I'm not sure what the T-38 was called. It was just a trainer. But I do know that the engine is the same one used in the T-38. I was in the AF and that's what they told me. Maybe they were wrong, but I trust them more than some stranger on the Internet.

I don’t get why they do this, but creating the ft1 just sets you expectations so high it dwarfs and make the production car look ugly, they should have done the viper thing and brought it to production looking like the concept, otherwise its just a negative effect

Well, its even more disappointing since Toyota said the FT1 engine was going to be a V6, I'm thinking maybe the 6GR engine platform with twin turbskies, it'd have been a supercar killer for sure. But now we got the rather gutless BMW Supra rather than Toyota using their good engine technology to make their first Toyota-branded supercar.

@@Avetho have u seen what the new 2021 supras putting down on stock motor stock internals? 815whp over 750+tq which the old 2j or what ever v6 they brought to market would never do, it makes more power than gtrs v6 stock , now there is also 850whp version that’s the record as of right now stock motor stock internals .
