This drone reminds me of the Exo Blackhawk 1,2 and 3. The day's when they copied each other and put a different name on it. Lol before getting the Autel I was going to get the Blackhawk 2 from Exo. The price didn't decrease fast enough and Autel did at the time. So I got a Autel instead of the Blackhawk. Nevertheless great drone this as well as the Blackhawk from Exo. My older brother flies the Exo.

Fimi are a spinoff from Xaiomi.i bought the first drone the Xaiomi Mi drone 1080p then 6 months later they introduced the rumoured 4K .identical looking drone but 4K had gold stripes.but identical batteries were not interchangeble and the cameras either even though you could swap them,they would not work or drone fly.Fimi it seems are playing the same game and you cant use x8 2020 battery in x8 tele im reading.il test this out but nonetheless they are ahead n some ways for the price,but still doing catchup in others(firmware,relay) anyway thanks for the calming flight .the sunset and birds made it look warm.cheers

good video thanks ..but my hubsan mini and zino mini pro drone some blur in camera in winter under -10 celsius.....i try this week my ace pro and zino mini pro refined to check if i have same problem (focus or blur in camera) good continuation in your good work

I think there is not much out there on this drone comes down to price. Just like all the Hubsan ACE as well. It also has a few functionality quirks as well.

What in your opinion would be a good starter drone? With about a 2-3 hundred dollar budget, centered around an easy to set up/ use with a decent camera? I looked online, but I feel like they’re biased. You seem to test quite a few, and that type of practical knowledge is what I’m looking for to help make a decision…thanks!!

Good morning, Kevin! - Finally one of your Fimi X8s in action again. I love this reliable drone that also is not too sensitive to the weather! I have had problems with transmission problems between the drone and the remote control too - even when using DJI drones. In all cases, however, it turned out that sources of interference on the ground (we have a number of electronics sonotronics and ultrasound companies here that you should avoid at all costs) were responsible. Otherwise, the X8s maintain a stable connection over long distances, as long as the quasi-optical line is not interrupted. (Don't tell anyone: But I have already sent my Fimi 5km away at a height of 120m and had no connection problems. It reliably returned to the middle of the landing pad. Incidentally, it also reliably returns home if the connection is lost)

I’ve has a Wingsland brand new in the box for years now. Could figure out the app to phone deal. So there it still sits. Sounds like that evo controller will do the trick. Walmart should still have the controller I think. I’ll have to watch the video a couple more times to figure out what controller to buy and then get it paired up. Shouldn’t be a big deal. I’m all excited again. Crazy how much fun flying drones are for me. What a drug of choice A? Year has gone by since my last on flew the coop on me it’s time to parr take once again. pretty stable for a drone with no gimbal

It's clearly upscaled 1080p. But still pretty good. Don't need more. I would buy this for 50-60 Euro or so if I could find the original. I'm sure Ameta is just a brand name on Amazon. Can't order it in my country. The fact it doesn't have GPS makes it super fast to get in the air. You don't understand how important that is. If for example you're on a bike tour you want a drone you can take out of your pocket and toss in the air within seconds.You are not going to spend half an hour on a selfie shot. Even half a minute to do the calibration and and wait for satellites is too long. You won't bother and just ride on. That is the reality if you want to ride 100 km. The fact it doesn't have a gimbal makes it easier to carry in your pocket. And not having to take a gimbal cover off saves another couple seconds. And because it has an sd card you don't have to mess with a phone either. So that's is how you should test this drone. Use the stopwatch to see how fast it is to take a photo or short video. Not a single drone reviewer shows it! They're all local park flyers. Their hobby is to fly drones around understandably. They look for the best camera and long range. I am looking for how many times I can actually use it on my bike trip and post some pictures on social media the same day. If I want landscapes for high up I use something else.
