Harry was as close to the next generation of Sinatra that I ever heard. It was the late 1980s and my dads physical and mental health was failing. As the natural progression of life happens, a lot of the icons of his time were passing away and that's depressing. Sinatra was still performing and I got my parents tickets to see him. It was bittersweet - Sinatra wasn't at his best, forgetting the words to songs, etc. As it turned out, my attempt to give my parents a great memory with an icon from their youth, only made them feel even older and more resigned that their time was coming to a close. But I'm not one to give up! When I heard Harry Connick's music, I immediately brought it to my parents attention. He's got the voice, the looks and the attitude of Sinatra! My parents became intrigued with him - especially my dad - who was in awe of Harry being an extremely accomplished piano player, as well as an extraordinary vocalist. Sadly, my dad passed away in 1990 and my mom in 1996. Even though it was a short time, Harry gave them a lift that the music they loved was still alive and that meant a lot! To this day, I am a super fan! I own all his albums on CD and play his Christmas album every year.

I LOVE Harry! His voice has a unique tone and sexy phrasing, that's nothing like Sinatra, but is as equally alluring. Plus, damn, he plays the piano better than, or as good as, Billy Joel. And - no disrespect to Billy - but Harry is a super stud!! Even though Harry has done well for himself, with all he's got going for him, it seems like he should be an astronomic superstar at this point! Honestly, I don't get how Buble even has any sort of a career. The guy has absolutely no personality and he sings like a washed out Sinatra. This is my honest opinion as a listener of music. Every Christmas I hear Buble songs all over the radio and they are boring. Then I go home and play Harry Connick's Christmas music and I'm in heaven! Not just his voice, but more the passion he brings to every arrangement of every song is what makes me FEEL it!!!

I'm 73 now, and watching you and the Jersey Boys sing, "Silence is Golden". I've watched you my whole life, thru record hops and private parties. You were my #1 then, and you remain my #1 today. Thx for "everything". Much luv! ❤

I love the chord progression in this song, but the msg is horrific! I would hate to think that mothers would teach the morality of this song to their sons
