We have a new Xplora and the split windows are huge, much larger than your singles. We were surprised they are so good and nearly changed to singles thinking exactly like you. I love Rotto, it's my favourite place to go. My partner and I have made it a tradition to go there for New years eve fireworks, but the only downside is its sooo busy! We've stayed a couple of times in summer and winter, and during winter it's beautiful and so relaxing. You can do anything you want because there's not as many people around, and we saw some quokka joeys in their pouches! We're staying there again in a couple of weeks at Discovery Rottnest so I'm super excited. Rottnest express now does later return ferries up until 9pm so you can have time to have dinner before you go and you aren't so pressed for time. We haven't checked out a couple of those beaches so we'll be sure to visit them. And with the quokkas, I find in busier times of the year there aren't as many out during the day, but there are so many more that come out at night time because they're nocturnal. In the main area at Thomson bay they fill out the entire grass oval/field near the bakery! During winter I found there were a lot more wandering around during the day compared to summer.
