Interesting concept. Well done. Next challenge: rewrite the script to use the batch-write option so that you don't have to address them individually.
@osarus_TV23 күн бұрын
Thanks, glad that you liked it :) so the thing is that with a batch write option all your Furnace would always both turn on and also activate, this means that you would waste power. but it won't take long to add the lines for that so that people could chose
@danielmills797223 күн бұрын
@osarus_TV Another option would be to add in a script to flash the names of the machines into the memory and make the chip iterate across it. Also: look into Cows Are Evil's planter script that matched Harvi's to plant pots (might be the same, can't remember). The power management is top notch here. 👍

@@osarus_TV I've managed to chain 6 to a single chip which is decent. So using 4 chips I can run 24 furnaces which is more than enough for early game lol. No bells and whistles but it gets a lot of ore processed fast enough.

What is the chip in it's head used for? Does it do anything or is it just a requirement to have, since we program it from an IC housing with a transimiter?
@osarus_TVАй бұрын
Well the IC in the head can actually be used for a stand alone version to control the robot, but most people just have one there as the "brain" and then use a remote one to have as the control unit. i am currently working on a new version of how i would control a AimE and there you can see some ideas with it

∆v is "Delta V" which means "change in speed". Basically rocket speak for now much you'll need to burn your engine to go somewhere. Distance is irrelevant because rockets can coast indefinitely, so you can think of ∆v as the amount you need to change orbital height and direction. In real rockets, the actual amount of fuel implied by this varies according to the weight of the rocket, cargo, and the fuel itself, which changes over time, but I've no idea how Stationeers is modelling this stuff.

I've learned that in order to speed up the process, the filters machine should be directly connected in parallel, basically the main pipe feeds the filters directly, then the main pipe makes a circle from the last to the first, so all mol are taken. Keeping in series as you done, the last machine will wait for its gas when all machines before have done their job, slowing down the whole process. It should be better to use a Pressure regulator at 55-58Mp so the Tanks don't exceed their limit due to the pump that never stops. On top-right of the filter machine there's a small opening for IC chip, if programmed well it can stop filtering and advise when filters needs to be changed, customizing a blinking light when filters have been fully depleted.

i ended up doing a parallel system with a bunch of pumps and stuff. so far no explosion has happened, and the separation is at a decent speed

Another good way to start a small grid vehicle is to use either a large grid connector, hinge, or rotor. With a connector facing up you can drop a small grid connector on top of it, and you can lock it in place and build off the new connector. With a hinge or rotor you can remove the end part and replace with a small grid head and build off from that. The benefit being that your small grid that you're building can now charge off your large grid.

Note that the little switch says passive because that's what it will set it to if you click on it. (The Stationeers UI is really weird like that.)
