Formatting the SD card doesn't make a difference. Even easier way is to extract the files using 7 zip to a folder on the PC hard drive and then simply dragging and dropping the maps folder onto the formatted SD card. All done in less than 30 minutes. Couldn't be simpler and avoids all the problems I encountered with folder naming if trying to extract directly onto the SD card.

I have a weird problem on mine, the voltage is down to like 11.8 Volts when turned off and goes up to 14.3 volts when turned on. I also have a rough start up with the engine shaking for like 5 secondes when in cold weather. I think the battery is failing on me because alternator works and charges.

Mines a bit like that and your voltage at idle is low ...it should be around 12.5 volts A few days ago when ai started the car the turn over was very slow which is another sign of a bad battery, I will change mine when it fails to start ...they are about £120 online delivered the next day

Do you recommend using the provided double sided tape to keep it from moving? And would it be easier to start with the switches first before tucking the end to keep it more aligned allow you to make cuts for adjustments?

yeah definitely stretch it around the switch first, then i would go down the back of the door card then work your way round the front. i never used the double sided tape and the covers have never moved, i got them on pretty tight and flat .. i like them far better than the covering my car had, they were always fithy dirty , they stay pretty clean now

Ive already put speed cameras onto mine. Would updating the nav remove the speed cameras? I added them by downloading the files onto an extra sd card installed onto the car and then removed the sd card

I have never seen it in any store, or online other than where we got it from Halling , Austria but they don't do it anymore . I think it must have been a limited edition model

Thanks for this. My potterton circuit board fried. This has helped fix the hot water issue but have you had issues with the CH coming on as a stand alone function? Mine won't come on unless the HW is on.

Mine is working fine Do you have a 3 port valve like I do , as when the hot water switches off , the live that feeds the CH to keep the boiler on comes from the hot water off signal on your programmer through the earth wire in my video..... Yours sounds like you lose the live to the boiler and pump when the hot turns off....if you have a 3 port valve check out the terminal 2 wire on my video which is the earth wire I used ....it actually goes live though when the hot water goes off.

@@thomasdock736 thats a shame kzbin.info/www/bejne/aaPdlHWpppWIbKs Sounds like you have wired it right, the electronic part on the top of the 3 way valve are notoriously dodgy and i would suspect its not switching correct. Mine goes faulty every 2 years roughly, i keep spares to change it out

got a constant write-protected issue, unable to copy anything to the sd card. the lock is clicked up. tried everything to no avail :(

Ok I think that happened to me and I had downloaded the wrong file, it was way too big for my SD card so the first thing to check is the size of your downloaded file , and compare it to the size of your SD card

@@skiddmurks it sounds like the SD Card lock is going back on when you put it in your PC, mine is hard to click on and off so it allows transfer

The track itself is just 00 Gauge Hornby, bought a little at a time over a few years . The locos are bought from all over , mainly Hattons in Liverpool mail order.

Sorry to be nitpicky but thats a K5000 with M5000 livery. One difference between the two is that the K5000 has passenger A/C, like the model, but that wasn't equipped on the M5000 as far as I know

Thanks for your great step by step guide Nigel; it worked like a charm. I'm not proud to say that I got my Golf in 2019 (maps folder dated Oct 2018) and this is the first time I've updated it...As a bonus, I've now found where VW put the CD player ;D I won't leave it as long next time, now I know how easy it is. I'm going to look at your Speed camera video next, but that'll be for another day. All the best

Worked a treat on my 2015 golf need to remember to set the SD card to write by moving the little white lock button as it’s locked to read only. Thanks a great easy to follow instructions I used bundle 2

The tracks are just 00 gauge, you can buy them at any model shop in the UK.... Any 00 gauge Loco will run on them
