Listening to this piece and some others of LOTR soundtrack makes me feel like I am sad that I am lost, but happy that I am about to be found …

This is how the Hobbits earned the Shire. They went to war as archers and support for the battle against Sauron. We have seen 5 Hobbits go to war and it made a dozen movies. Imagine the military they used to be in the old times.

I dont think there will be something recreated like this again in our life time. the combination of passion, talent, music and belief in the lore made this the last of an old era. Now its CGI to the max, limited acting and no ... passion to detail.

I only play this when I complete a major life task such as univeristy degree. The euphoria is beyond all levels in this world! I recommend saving this for only the most pure moments in life to sit back and appreciate what you have accomplished!

"I think the worst is behind us." HA! The dramatic irony...Of course Bilbo's courage is based on the invisibility the ring gives him, but still...it's very touching.

Here is an incredible display of a mature and wise act of someone that can shrug off getting offended or holding a grudge and commit to an act of unconditional love and service. This is a perfect example of why hobbits despite their short stature are not short on heart.

I remember when I first played this on piano almost 15 year ago, not even knowing what Lord Of The Rings was. I loved it and played it almost every single day. Now I'm a piano teacher myself. Last week, a student told me, she watched all of Lord Of The Rings. So today I will teach her In Dreams. Isn't it nice how music can stay and connect people over different generations?

I think this scene might be the reason there are more fan edits of the Hobbit films than the Star Wars Prequels. People were like, "this performance *deserves* a better movie to be in than what we got, and we are going to make it happen!"
