I like the way you explained comparison, by setting the two variables equal, even though they weren't, then adding to make them equal.

For number 18, just from looking at 6 and 18, the triangle ECA is 3x bigger than DCB. So you could've just did 8*3= 24, which means C to A has a length of 24. Now you just do the pythagorem theorem. 24 squared + 18 squared = x squared. 24 squared + 18 squared = 900. squared root of 900 = 30 very easy.

Okay so for, question 19. Instead of saying H= f+50, you could've just made f=h-50 by moving the f and h, and plug it into the equation of 2h+3(h-50) =1700 calories, which gives you 370 as the answer.

you do not need to know that trick for above a 700 lol

I thought 18 should be 40? bc x=30 would correspond to line DE, while line CD equals 10, so 10+30=40

for the qn 20th, i solved by a diff way for which i got my ans in decimal i.e 0.66 which is 3/5 (the ans u got was 3/5) so wht i wanna ask is if answers in decimals are allowed?

quick tip for problem six, you can immediately solve for x (arc length) by flipping the ratios to where you'd only have to multiply 260 degrees to isolate x. Instead of doing this, where you'd have to cross multiply and divide and all that stuff; 100 degrees/5pi = 260 degrees/x You can do this 5pi/100 degrees = x/260 degrees Then multiply both sides of the equation by 260, because multiplying the number of a denominator with the same value will cancel out the denominator and only leave the numerator (i.e. (16 / 283) * 283 = 16) so (x / 260 degrees) * 260 will leave only x, which is what we want 260 * 5pi/100 degrees = x 1300pi / 100 degrees = x 13pi = x

took the SAT a few months back and got a really disappointing score on the math purely because I had forgotten all of the middle school triangle stuff (all of the angle and side congruency rules).
