quick tip for problem six, you can immediately solve for x (arc length) by flipping the ratios to where you'd only have to multiply 260 degrees to isolate x. Instead of doing this, where you'd have to cross multiply and divide and all that stuff; 100 degrees/5pi = 260 degrees/x You can do this 5pi/100 degrees = x/260 degrees Then multiply both sides of the equation by 260, because multiplying the number of a denominator with the same value will cancel out the denominator and only leave the numerator (i.e. (16 / 283) * 283 = 16) so (x / 260 degrees) * 260 will leave only x, which is what we want 260 * 5pi/100 degrees = x 1300pi / 100 degrees = x 13pi = x

Cool way to do that last Test 8 question! I did it a different way. I used the fact that a quadrilateral's interior angles add to 360 and then I represented those missing angles as x and 1/2x. On my actual test, I used my corner of my answer sheet to make an educated guess of 80, and I was right!

Hii ! Firstly thank you for these amazing videosss, they help a lot . But, sometimes I get confused about when to convert pi to 3.14 in calculations. Because sometimes, I got the question wrong just because I considered pi = 3.14, while khan academy's answer explanation didn't convert pi. But, in some cases, the answer explanation does convert pi to 3.14
@Harini-u7r Жыл бұрын
Hi I'm sure you've already taken the SAT but a lot times in multiple choice questions they include pi in the answer but if it's not included just use the pi symbol in your calculator to calculate your answers!

There's a total of 360 degrees in a circle so you subtract the total from the given to find the rest which gives you 260
