Haha, there is no way I would have been able to get that super stuck bottom bracket out. Took about three different guys try three different things. All is good, new drivetrain and all.

The Werner Herzog clip at the beginning was good, forgot I saw the video clip of that. I’m still amazed how much of the Netherlands you can travel by bike, seemingly all by bike path too. I figured the cities are one thing, but being about to get into the countryside by a bike path is pretty amazing.

something that helps me with track stands is turning my wheel towards the leading foot, and being in a low gear so you can really feather your movements (its kind of a back a forward rocking motion). also try on a slight hill ! you get some some resistance and can roll backwards making it a lot easier to find your balance point

yeah, idk - right foot dominant and turning the opposite direction feels natural to me but still experimenting with sides; as for an uphill, yes - but I didn't bother going to that one spot and practising there considering finding an uphill around me is an uphill battle; also, am having trouble ratcheting back from dominant foot's "up" position . . . let's see how it goes as I keep falling back into patterns that aren't working, haha
