I can't believe the amount of soot on the bottom of the coffee beaker. Does that always happen with Bunsen burners?

i just want to see a video that has actual percussion! I know its just a video and not in person, but all videos like this always play super slow songs with just vocals and it gives you no clue as to how it sounds with popular (or more energizing) music.

We have the TCA 5 coffee but were less than enthused with the included burner due to lack of efficiency and soot issue mentioned by Abraham. I have actually made a couple of different burners (and wind screens) and landed on one that works great and does not cost much to make (Make an Alcohol Burner - emergency lamp: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z4rbpplvjrmggrs). Cheers!

The more money people spend on their systems, the less daring and progressive their musical tastes typically are. Diana Krall is really pushing that system. What a tragic waste of money.

I now use Hiro heat lamp. In the video I use the alcohol fuel that came with the basic brew pack.
@abrahamwu96809 жыл бұрын
What is the fuel that you use? Denatured alcohol? It looked a bit sooty to me. :)
@ThePirateWhiteBeard9 жыл бұрын
Abraham Wu Methylated spirits (denatured alcohol) is the fuel usually used in this type of spirit burner. There is also butane burners available which give you temperature control / adjustment by adjusting the flame by controlling the gas output.

I want to say something to the people that say '' nooo becaus o thaat nooo becaus o thiiis''. You get what you pay for, and vitus is extremely expensive. If you compare side by side with other also expensive equipment, with a blind test, vitus is the way to go. Its all about monsterous transformers and work of art circuitry design. But to each his own. People feel good thinking, ahhh ive got great sound with 1/3 of the money. Yes if you purchase the exact products second hand, ok. This video concerns the audiophiles, not the aiwa/LG/samsung people that spent 1500 euros and think they have the ultimate audio.

wow, those are immense! I just picked up a pair of 836v speakers-all I could afford. Nice job. I am also thinking of a tube integrated. I like my YBA but I love the sound of tubes.

Can I make a suggestion. Your system is VERY nice indeed. No problem there. What I would recommend is now investing in proper room treatment so that you are hearing less of your room and more of your system. I can recommend a company that provides some of the best products that aren't overly priced that will DEFINITELY improve your listening experience. Let me know if you are interested.
@drumandbassob00078 жыл бұрын
thats what i was thinking room acoustics makes a massive difference in sound quality and sound stage, room acoustics can make a 500 pound system sound like a 1000+ pound system if done right and its not that hard
@Oneness1008 жыл бұрын
drumandbassob0007 Well, the most difficult and most expensive thing to deal with is Low Frequency energy. Acoustic foam, diffusion products don't even do a thing to manage low frequencies 100Hz and below, so you have to get big expensive low frequency absorption systems. And they aren't cheap and you need a bunch of them (typically). The other thing that can get expensive is sound proofing so you keep outside noise outside and inside noise inside.

The price quote are for NEW item at the time of purchase. A brand new Mercedes S500L in 2000 sold for over $350K. Now the same car can be purchased for less than $20K. I love to buy another Vitus SS010 for $7.5K so I can get it mod to SM010 Mono-block. Please let me know where I can buy one at that price.
