of the hundreds of home theater and speaker set ups, this one is my favorite... consequently probably the most expensive set up too. great sound, wish people with systems like this would let people just come and listen.

Breathtaking track choice on a breathtaking system. The quiet of the piano and dark chocolate voice that Krall has.... goosebumps even through the window of the camcorder. Your video made my friday start with a smile. Thank you!

Well I'm not a Hifi buff in general, but who doesn't like nice systems with great sound? Happily i found this by coincidence. Why? Because a couple of years ago I had the pleasure to listen to music from great system like this. It had these magnificent JBL Grand Utopia, huge massive speakers. Biggest ones I've ever seen. The owner played different music for us by our choice. For a noob like me it was like sitting inside a concert, breathtaking! This clip reminded me of that. Thanks for sharing.

This weekend I had the chance of listening the Vitus Audio Monoblocks of 100watts A Class and the preamplifier.INCREDIBLE sound !!! You should control yourself to not being completely involved by the music and to forget the time. This week I should receive the SS 101 like yours with very few hours in order to test in my set up. I will report my thoughts.

Absolutely remarkable. I've always wanted to have a sample of the JM Lab Utopias. Certainly it's compromised through the microphone of your camcorder but I'm certain if I heard these in person I wouldn't be able to listen to my stereo afterwards! Thank you for posting this. You have an amazing set-up for sound reproduction.

@Jijizoe Thank you for your comments. Remeber that the speakers were purcahsed 8 years ago. I also don't like Jadis stuff, a lot off issue with Tube. Vitus (made in Denmark) just KICK ASS EVERYTHING PERIOD. Good stuffs now come out of Denmark (Vitus Audio), Germany (Transrotor, Acoustic Art), USA (Magico), Sweden (Marten). I guess different time, diferent choice... Good Luck.

Congrats on your beautiful system, the sound is crystal clear but a tad bright. I am a big fan of Wilson speakers and the Cannalis Allegra 2.0 (formerly Sonics by Joachim Gerhard). I will definitely trial some Vitus Amps. Enjoy.

Amazing video. Vitus is the best integrated amplifier I have already listen..I mean, musicality. My current integrated amplifier is a Rega Osiris...it seems similar to me to Vitus concerning some sound areas and much cheaper...for me, better of other "on fashion" integrated amplifiers like Dartzeel, Diablo, Goldmund, Passa Labs, etc... however, Vitus is still the best. Congratulations.!!!

High end, taste full equipment mate, though small room for the poor utopias. I was also into tubes, then hybrids, but after all: state of the art solid state gives you everything. Warmth, musicality, dynamics... The best choices are pass, chord, burmester, symphonic line, gamut, gryphon, and vitus of course. Enjoy your system. :) AUDIO PHYSIC owns

Thank you weerlor. Currently using the Krell S300i and a Oppo 95, trying to maybe use a pair of focals in the future. Not sure exactly which model but definitely under 5k. Andy of the focal speakers you've heard kind of worth getting in this budget? or do you prefer another type of speaker brand? Thanks for the advice on using Vitus. Still a little out of budget for me. (small wallet) I will check out Vitus when money permits. =)

Hi, the performance of lower-mind and bass depends heavily on the cable you used. I've previous a few pairs of Transparent and MIT cables. I found that these cable do not deliver a tight bottom end as Siltech cables featured on the video.
@hbaboris12 жыл бұрын
It would be nice if you could post a music with more dynamics . Does the Vitus drive the JM Lab easily ?
@weerlor12 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comments, I said Vitus Solid state AMP outperform all tube systems that I previously own, including a Jadis JA500 monoblock. I also listen to other type of music, including stage show such as Phantom of the opera and the usual top 40 hits.

Decide. Cheaper Focal Chorus 836V towers handle thrash metal, heavy metal and death metal with utter ease while they (literally) blow you away. I've listened to Megadeth (Namely RIP and Peace Sells albums) on those with a NAD amp (150Wx2) at pretty high volumes. Intense, super clear, amazing sound. Can't wait to eventually (high hopes) hear Utopias. As far as I've heard I can say that Focals wipe the floor with speakers like B&W, but that's just me. They are very dynamic in my opinion.

U said the tube outperform all the solid state u mention, have u try different kind of recording or music in the comparison? from smooth jazz to heavy orchestra( don't worry not going to recommend u heavy metal), or from hi vocals to fast percussion track.

@mangolovin I found if you have a good amplifer will bring out the best in your speaker. I found VITUS amplifer are simply the best, period. I've previously own Mark Levinson, Krell, Jeff Rowland and mono blocks Jadis (JA-500). In the end my little SS010 25W Class A, by far outperform all my pervious amplifers. I will shortly post another video with the same setup and using my old Revel Gen Ultima bookshelf speakers. Thank you for watching.
@joshmurr490712 жыл бұрын
One thing you have to consider, is that those cables are FAR more expensive than what's in any of the recording studios that made the music you are listening to. Even if there was some minor change that the human ear was capable of perceiving, it would be utterly insignificant when compared to the impact of adding more room treatments, and upgrading speakers or equipment.
@weerlor12 жыл бұрын
Hi, the bass and the mid range are heavily depended on your AMP and equipments. Good speakers and interconnect cables are also essential. I had MIT Oracle, but notices a increase in bass and improve dynamic when I switched to Siltech Royal Signature cables with these speakers.
@weerlor13 жыл бұрын
@echopper1 Q5 might be too hard to drive for my SS010, I would prefer to have Crystal Cable Arabesque which operates at 95db.
@weerlor12 жыл бұрын
To appreicate good cables (ultra hi-end), you equipments will also need to be hi-end (Source->Interconnect->AMP->Cables->Speakers). Thus, if you connect a $5000 speaker cable to a $100 pair of speakers, there is high chance that you will not hear any difference.

@mangolovin I head that Vitus also released RI-100 which is more affordiable. Krell is generally a bright sounding amplifer, and focal speaker is also a bit bright in my opinon (I like warm sound). If your budget is around 5K, try to get your hand on a used Revel Gen Ultima, I purchase mine for $7.5K about 2 years ago used. Now it should be in your budget. I like it so much I once owned 2 pairs. I once compared it to a Focal Alto, in my opinon the Revel is a much better speaker.
