Beautiful !! To see a real person gratefully achieve his dream is the reason why. I am also in the process with Ferrari Central in Orlando working on a 296 GTB. I am the 1% of car guys that have a Ferrari for the love of it never to show off.

Congratulations on a fantastic spec for the 296 GTB! It’s an incredible car with plenty of power and easily one of the best looking Ferraris out there. Enjoy every moment you’ve worked hard for it!

Nothing says poser like metallic purple and a white interior. I hope you have a screwdriver and a timing light so you can work on it.

Why the 296 instead of the sf90? I really hesitate between these 2 cars

I explain at the end of the video I need to develop a tune for the platform, personally would love an sf90 over the 296 style wise

Blue corsa is nicer as it is not so dark. And the white is kind of too well white. I bought a blue corsa 296 GTB with red interior - $446,500 msrp - 2023 - with 255 miles. But ai paid two months ago $356,000 - and I paid cash - the only way to buy these stupid cars - so you can sell the car for whatever the market is at the time it needs to go. The cars have dropped back even further - to less than $350,000. These Ferrari’s are no longer holding their value - and trading down around 20% in the first year.

15:06 We'll never run out of gasoline. It's a byproduct from the nuclear reaction at the center of the earth. Oil doesn't come from "fossils"... Fossil Fuels is a misnomer intended to mislead. Plus, we use oil to make plastic, asphalt and everything else in the modern world. They'll never stop using oil and the supply is unlimited

All my friends think I’m crazy for wanting one of these, the clown shoe hips are just a chefs kiss! I started my bmw building with an n54, and I know it’s not the most reliable 😅 but I think it would be pretty cool to swap one into it. But I would probably keep it stock for a while. Unless it had the S54 I would DEFINITELY put the carbon intake on that puppy, and then maybe turbo or supercharge that. Ahh the endless amount of cars/builds I want to to do someday. Sick car Matt! Happy that you’re happy with it🤙🏽

Does the AWD Huracan also have the throttle limit? Why does the OEM implement this limit?
@hdtuning7 ай бұрын
The throttle limit depends on the software version, it exists on R8's as well and some do not have the throttle limit, but still gain a sizeable amount of power for an NA car. The OEM's do this for various reasons, an AWD car is less likely to spin out with an unskilled driver making it safer for mass consumption. It is also lighter without the AWD system, so it doesn't need as much power to go as fast, and the OEM's, especially VAG will always sandbag and make a more powerful version of the car each facelift. If you watch our SF90 video, I explain that the Aventador that was made for over a decade has had many revisions with more and more power with the only major difference being the RPM limit. It's just a way for them to achieve economies of scale, make the same engine but have multiple power levels to give a different driving experience. You can get an R8 that can beat a Huracan, a Porsche Cayenne GT that can beat a Urus, etc. With the same hardware and software they have the same ceiling of potential power output regardless which sticker is on the hood. There is a great video that expounds on the philosophy of why manufacturers utilize this trick to achieve maximum sales with minimal diversity of engines/chassis, none have done it better than the VW/Audi Group. It's very interesting, look up the Ferdinand Piëch video by Hagerty

Amazing stuff, I understood everything you talked about, I dabbled with WinOLS software tuning and it’s not for everyone, you definitely need to have that sort of brain to deal with that, I’ll stick to building cars and loading tunes and leave creating tuned files to guys like you!

Jack of all trades is master of none, I'm the same way, I prefer to stick to what I'm good at. I'd be lost tuning standalones but Winols is home to me. Very cool E type restomod btw! Was hoping for a sound clip

How you guys calculate whp to hp?
@hdtuning9 ай бұрын
Usually we look at whp compared to advertised crank to find out what the drivetrain loss is. Then use that percentage to calculate a new crank HP number. The problem is factory turbo cars choose turbos that are tiny to limit lag, so they lose steam high rpm. The majority of gains are made low and midrange so measuring acceleration as a function of average HP and average torque is a better litmus test of a tune's performance rather than Dyno numbers. This is just one metric and it's the most widely accepted and understood method. If we were using the same marketing numbers the industry players use, we'd claim it's a 1200hp car. I'd rather not play that game and just show the power gain at the wheel was 120hp 145tq.
