You can't connect it to another brand of battery??!! You mean the same way I can't use a Ryobi battery in my Dewalt drill?!! OH NOOOOOO. Let me understand. If I power this with 110 volt house current, it has to convert to 48 volts, so it's less efficient? I assume the unit cools just as well connected to 100v, so you're basically saying that you're using a little more power with the 110v? So if I'm plugged in with 110, and the unit is cooling, I should worry about a tiny amount of extra house current? What? You're just trying to be edgy and contrarian with this silly review.

This is kinda what im looking for for my steel rim chrome cap motorhome. But why are you running 2 TPMS sensors? If this is equalizing, can't you use just one sensor?
@timmysrvlife

Good question! I bought TPMS before I have this crossfire, might as well leave it on there. You only need one TPMS with this system. But I have seen times, two tpms reads differently. There is check valve inside the crossfire to prevent both tire loss incase one tire pops. I believe if two tire pressure difference > 10 psi, it will stop equalize.

@AquaTech225
@AquaTech225 5 ай бұрын
I just picked up well ordered a wave 2. But I have the mark 2 also for a while now. Like I told the other guy. The wave 2 is basically the same as one of the cheapest window units you can buy from Lowe’s/Home Depot. Them are 5,000btu of cooling. For $150 The mark 2 is 2300btu of cooling. So slightly under half of the ability of the smallest Home Depot window unit. The mark 2 has done good for me. But I rather have the choice depending the time of the year. How portable I want it to be. An how much battery juice I would want to burn through. Both of these AC units fit a very niche market area. That honestly nothing else can. Least as of yet. For the least amount of power draw, to work well with solar/solar generators a portability. The only other options there are are evaporative cooling coolers and or swamp coolers. Unlike an actual AC unit running a compressor that actually removes moisture. Both of them add humidity your pulling the air over water or ice. And depending the temp. Burning through tons of ice. An if the area is humid. Neither of them things is good for that. If it’s humid evaporative cooling can’t really cool the air because it’s already saturated to the air passing them wet find or whatnot. Can’t really evap to take heat out of that air. An a swamp cooler is just eating up ice and adding extra humidity. That option is just fans. Only other option is portable like them roll around plug in units. An them are going to draw a bunch of juice. An aren’t super portable a due to the juice they draw. Less practical. For off the grid running from battery storage. So you come back to the best options on the market. Mark 2 a wave 2. The wave 2 is 5100btu cooling which just say is as good as one of the small window units for a home. But with the benefit. That if you run it in a lower mode. You can get it to lower the juice it takes to run to atleast 3/4 of what it takes to run the same size window unit. May even get the power draw even lower. In eco mode or something. Unlike a window unit. The only thing the settings control is the fan speed. But seems like the compressor is just running or not. Least with the mark 2. The fan speed would change but also the speed of the compressor changed from normal high. To the boost mode it would be sped up a lot. Than in eco mode it was running real slow. An the fan slowed. Drawing a good bit less juice. I have used the mark 2 in the later end of the box humid Louisiana summer in a tent a few times. It struggled some in the day. If it wasn’t blowing at you. But after the sun dropped for a little while. All was well actually cooled and got decently cool. Which I wasn’t really in it in the day time anyway. So didn’t really run much in the day anyway. A the mark 2 at high power it may of been the boost mode. I don’t remember all the way off hand. Was like 238ish watt draw. But during the night I didn’t run it on the boost mode. I left it on eco and was fine. An let the compressor run a lot slower. And had it connected in the the 2000wh Bluetti combined with its attachable battery. Between the two. And 4 200watt panels in the day. It was holding its own without much issue. While also having a small 12v fridge running. Ofcourse that didn’t run but a fraction of the time to keep it cold. But you these units are limited that’s a fact. A say for the wave it’s a lot easier to cool a room in a home that the room ceiling is insulated an well protected from the sun. An the home is insulated like a home also. An if you rigged up a same capacity window unit up to cool a tent or some outdoor/off the grid living area. It’s just not going to do as good. Tents an any mobile living area isn’t as well insulated from the sun ect a home is. But you work with its limitations. Anywhere is possible. But if you can have your living area being cooled more in a shaded area helps. String a tarp over a tent so the sun can’t hit it at all. Stick some moving blankets over the tent top and sided before putting on the fly. Ect ect. An any way to work with its limitations and work with that different ways. To capitalize on its ability. An both units do great for what they are. Anyone says they’re bad. Just don’t understand btu’s an insulation ect. An just wasn’t willing to work with the limitations to aid in making it most efficient as they were able to. An expected more than it’s capable of giving. But understanding the limitations a working with them to aid it however. You’ll be happy with either of them. An or whatever one works best for the size area your dealing with. And you can support the juice it needs to run for however long you need it for
